Food prices in Hangzhou, Zhejiang may face a new round of rise in the near future.

According to the business forecast of the Department of Commerce of Zhejiang Province, during the current period (December 14-December 20), the prices of daily necessities in Zhejiang Province rose as a whole, and the prices of vegetables and aquatic products led the rise.

The temperature is falling, the catch at sea is decreasing, the output of freshwater fish is weak as a whole, the psychology of hoarding and selling goods by operators before the superposition festival is enhanced, the price of aquatic products has risen somewhat, and the average wholesale price of aquatic products has risen 1.5% month-on-month in this period.

During this period, there were several sunny days in our province, and the rate of increase in vegetable prices slowed somewhat. The wholesale average price rose 1.1% from the previous week, which was 1.9% lower than last week. The fluctuation range of all kinds of vegetables monitored was small. Seven categories of vegetables rose 1% and 2 flat. Among them, leafy vegetables, melons, onions and garlic, eggplant and fruits rose 1.2%, 1.7%, 2.2% and 2.3% respectively, while cabbage decreased 0.6%. The rhizome is the same as the legume. Eggs and pork rose 0.3% and 0.6%, respectively.

Our province will usher in the weather of cooling and rainfall, which will bring certain pressure to the picking and transportation of vegetables, and the price of vegetables may face a new round of rise. New Year's Day is approaching, aquatic product prices still have room to rise.
