Toona sinensis contains a variety of vitamins and trace elements, which are very helpful to the human body. Toona sinensis is delicious and loved by people. With the growing of Toona sinensis, scientific methods are needed to cultivate Toona sinensis. Below, Xiao Bian will talk to you about how to plant Chinese toon seedlings.

Cultivation techniques of Chinese toon seedlings

1. Seed treatment

It is better to choose the seeds of Chinese toon, which has high germination rate and good seedling quality. The fresh Chinese toon seeds are stripped of wings, soaked in clear water for 5 - 6 hours, soaked in 0.01% potassium permanganate solution for disinfection for 15 minutes, and then soaked in clear water for continuous soaking, during which the Chinese toon seeds are washed twice with warm water at 20 - 25 DEG C until the Chinese toon seeds absorb water and expand, and then the water is dried. Wrap the seeds with 3 layers of clean wet cloth, put them in a container to shade and germinate, and wash them with warm water of 20~25℃ 1~2 times a day during germination. Generally 4 - 8 days white, you can sow.

2. Timely sowing

Spread a layer of straw paper or non-woven fabric or gauze on the sterilized seedling tray, then spread 2.5 cm thick perlite, sow the germinated seeds on it, the sowing amount is about 150 g per tray, and cover the seeds with 1.5 cm thick perlite after sowing. Finally, spray with warm water at 20~25℃ and put on the cultivation rack.

3. Post-sowing management

After sowing, spray warm water of 20~25℃ twice a day in the morning and evening, keep the relative humidity of the air at about 80%, and avoid excessive water holding capacity of the substrate or accumulation of water in the tray. 3 days after sowing, the temperature should be controlled at 20~25℃ in the daytime and 12~15℃ at night. After budding out of the substrate, the temperature should be controlled at 18~23℃ in the daytime. When the temperature is low, the growth speed is slow, and when the temperature is high, the growth speed is accelerated, the quality is reduced, and the lignification is easy. Generally 12~14 days, bud length 5~7 cm, cotyledons have not yet expanded, buds thick, white, and the root tip has not been yellow harvest.

Tips for choosing Chinese toon buds

1. Season selection: Toona sinensis buds generally start at the beginning of April, and it is not very good in the middle and late April, so it is best to buy Toona sinensis buds in the middle of April.
