Last Updated: 2024/09/19, Artemisia annua L. is a kind of variety introduced from abroad. After careful cultivation in our country, the planting rate is very high and the planting range is very extensive in our country. The main reason why the same number is so popular is that it has high dietotherapy value.

Chrysanthemum is a variety introduced from abroad, which has been carefully cultivated in China. At present, the planting rate in China is very high, and the planting range is also very wide. The same number is so popular with people, mainly because it has a high therapeutic value, so many people now want to grow it.

Scientific planting technology of chrysanthemum

1. Seed treatment: 3~4 days before sowing, soak the seeds in 50~55 hot water for 15 minutes, soak them for 12~24 hours, place them in a warm place at about 25℃ for germination, and wash them with clean water once a day during germination. If the new seed is placed in advance at 0~5℃, the dormancy is broken for about 7 days.

2. Sowing selection: Spring protected land planting is generally in late March or April with hotbed sowing and seedling raising: spring open field planting, hotbed sowing and seedling raising in mid-April, spring open field direct seeding, small arch shed or plastic film sowing in early May, summer and autumn planting, cold bed or open field sowing in batches, 7~10 days a sowing period.

3. Sowing method: depending on the planting method (direct seeding or seedling transplantation), broadcast planting or drilling planting shall be adopted. The seed amount per hectare shall be 60~70 kg. The seed amount shall be 30~37.5 kg per hectare according to the row spacing of 10 cm. The seedling sowing in early spring shall be covered with soil to prevent sudden death disease. The optimum seedling age was 20~0 days, and 3~4 true leaves was the optimum planting period.

4, planting: sowing to germination, generally takes 5 to 7 days. Care should be taken to keep moisture from drying out the soil during germination. Thinning seedlings and plucking seedlings in the field are carried out when the seedlings are 2~3 cm high and have 1~2 true leaves, so that the plant spacing is maintained at 1~2 cm. And shallow cultivation, planting seedlings in 3~4 true leaf stage, planting outside or shed temperature should be stable through 10℃. Planting or seedling spacing should be 4~6 cm.

Growth conditions of chrysanthemum

1. Temperature. The adaptability of chrysanthemum is wide, natural disposition likes cold environment, do not tolerate high temperature. The most suitable temperature for growth is 17~20 degrees Celsius, the growth is slow below 12 degrees Celsius, and the growth is poor above 29 degrees Celsius, but it can withstand short-term low temperature of 0 degrees. Seeds can germinate above 10 degrees Celsius, but the germination is fastest at 15~20 degrees Celsius.

2. Light. Chrysanthemum is not strict with light, generally grows well under weak light conditions, and blooms under higher temperature and short sunshine conditions. Under long-day conditions, vegetative growth is insufficient.

3. Water. Chrysanthemum is not strict with water and fertilizer requirements, as long as the soil is kept moist, but the water cannot be too much, otherwise it will affect the growth and development and reduce production.

4. Soil. Chrysanthemum is suitable for a wide range of soil, the requirements are not strict, but the loose fertile slightly acidic sandy loam is the best. PH 5.5~6.8 is the most suitable.

Field management of chrysanthemum planting

1. Watering and fertilization: After the seedlings are unearthed, they should be watered. The watering time and frequency should be flexibly controlled to keep the soil moist. 10--15 days before each harvest, apply quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer once, apply potassium nitrate 15 kg and urea 8 kg per mu.

2. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests of chrysanthemum: The diseases and insect pests of chrysanthemum mainly start from agricultural prevention and control, and should be reasonably fertilized and watered to avoid sudden large and small. Temperature management is not high or low, creating a good ecological environment, promoting healthy growth of plants, reducing pest damage and pesticide application, and maintaining ecological balance.

Harvest of chrysanthemum

The growth period of chrysanthemum is generally 40~50 days. When the plant is about 20 cm high, it can be harvested with 12~13 true leaves. In order to keep the product fresh and tender, the harvest should be carried out in the morning. Harvest is not timely, high temperature, will lead to leaf aging, poor quality, or internode elongation, flowering. If you want to harvest many times, you can use a knife to cut 2~3 cm at the base of the main stem, and the cut tender stems and leaves are bundled into 0.5 kg small bundles for listing. Water after harvest and harvest again a month later.

In fact, the planting method of chrysanthemum is still very simple, mainly to seed germination treatment, and then timely transplanting. Later management is also crucial, timely fertilization and watering to ensure its nutrition, pest control should also be done well. I believe that if these work is done well, the growth of chrysanthemum will be better and the quality will be better.
