Dendrobium candidum is a very important traditional Chinese medicine, which has a good curative effect for many diseases, and even has a nickname for reviving grass. At the same time, Dendrobium candidum is also a very valuable orchid, good Dendrobium candidum is very popular in the market. So planting Dendrobium candidum is also very profitable.

Cultivation methods of Dendrobium candidum

First, do a good job in the arrangement of the cultivation bed

1. Cut off the diseased stem, withered stem, weak stem and over-dense stem in the bed in combination with harvest to promote the growth of new buds.

2. Adding matrix: for the bed surface with too little substrate, it should be replenished before and after the growth of new buds to facilitate the growth of new roots.

Second, adjust the moisture

The late diversion of water in early spring will affect the time of occurrence of new buds (branches). If the matrix is too dry, the water transfer should be carried out in stages, that is, the pre-wet should be sprayed first, and then the water should be sprayed through; the ground planting should pay attention to adjust the water content of the matrix for a small number of times according to the drainage permeability of the matrix to avoid excessive water spraying. In the regulation of moisture at the same time, but also to do a good job of ventilation, avoid stuffy shed.

III. Rational fertilization

1. Spraying foliar fertilizer properly: for Dendrobium candidum which is frozen in winter and whose plants are small and leaves are yellow, water-soluble fertilizers containing amino acids can be sprayed on the leaves, such as Guoguang sparse application of Mei, Golden Fat, Green 668 and so on. Pay attention to the changes of concentration and weather when spraying. For stems and leaves that survive the winter normally and safely, after adjusting the water in the substrate, you can choose high nitrogen compound fertilizer or potassium dihydrogen phosphate plus urea or fully nutritious foliar fertilizer, and pay attention to the concentration is not too high, it is appropriate to spray between 0.05 and 0.1%, generally spraying once every 10 days to promote the growth of new buds.

2. Supplement long-acting organic fertilizer: for the substrate that lacks fertility, appropriate amount of fermented sheep manure, rapeseed cake and other organic fertilizer should be applied between rows, or it can be combined with supplementary substrate at the same time.

Planting environment of Dendrobium

Dendrobium likes to grow in a warm, humid, half-overcast and semi-sunny environment. It is better to grow in subtropical deep mountain forests with annual rainfall of more than 1000 mm, air humidity of more than 80%, and average temperature of more than 8 ℃ in January. It is not very strict with soil fertilizer requirements. Wild trees grow on loose and thick bark or tree trunks, and some grow in stone crevices. Huoshan Dendrobium, which is produced in Huoshan County, Anhui Province, is the best of Dendrobium, but Huoshan Dendrobium grows in a harsh environment and its output is rare. only a few old brands such as Fulinmen Dendrobium can buy the real Huoshan Dendrobium on the market.

Field management of Dendrobium candidum

1. Watering: the air humidity in the later stage of Dendrobium planting is too small to often water and moisturize, and a sprayer can be used to water it in the form of spray.

2. Topdressing: Dendrobium should pay attention to topdressing during the growing season. Mature peanut drums, rapeseed cakes, calcium superphosphate and other mixtures such as river mud can be sprinkled on the roots. In addition, 0.05 color 0.1% potassium dihydrogen phosphate can be used for extra-root topdressing.

3. Pruning: before sprouting new buds in spring every year, the withered stems in the clump will be cut off combined with the old stems harvested, and the diseased stems, weak stems and diseased roots will be removed. After 8 years of planting, they will be rebranched and propagated according to the growth situation of the clumps.

Matters needing attention in planting Dendrobium candidum

In the summer and autumn high temperature season, the moisture content in the substrate should be controlled as much as 40% to 50%. In the winter after November, the temperature gradually decreases, and Dendrobium candidum basically stops growing and enters a dormant state when the temperature is below 10 ℃. At this time, the requirement for moisture is very low, and the water content of the substrate should be controlled within 30%.

Once Dendrobium candidum is planted successfully, the profit is very considerable, so before planting Dendrobium candidum, we must have an accurate grasp of the technical points of planting and the growth requirements of Dendrobium. Only in this way can Dendrobium grow more smoothly and get a better profit return.
