As a sacred medicine for tonifying blood, with the development of the times, the application of Angelica in medicine is constantly keeping pace with the times. although this era seems to be an era in which traditional Chinese medicine is in decline, traditional Chinese medicine is still contributing itself silently. Angelica is a good representative of traditional Chinese medicine.

Planting technique of Angelica sinensis

1. Land selection and preparation

The nursery land should choose the shady Banyin mountain, the loose and fertile sandy loam is better, and the cultivation land should choose the deep leisure land or second wasteland. In mid-July, first cut down shrubs and weeds, spread them on the ground, burn and refine the mountains, and then turn the land more than 25 centimeters deep and wind-cured in the sun. Then, before planting, combined with land preparation, 2500 kg of rotten barnyard manure per mu was applied and turned into the soil as base fertilizer. Shallow ploughing once before sowing to make a high border with a width of 1 or 3 meters, the border ditch is 40 cm wide, and a good drainage ditch is opened around it.

2. Transplanting

It is generally suitable for transplanting in the first and middle of April. Early, the seedlings are easy to be harmed by late frost; too late, the seedlings have germinated, reducing the survival rate. In the whole rake fine planting ground, layer seedlings, according to the row spacing of 33 × 27 cm according to the triangle staggered hole, the hole depth of 20 cm. Then, select the root neck diameter of 0 cm, 3-0 cm and 4 cm, and plant 3 seedlings according to the zigzag arrangement of each hole, and then cover the soil while pressing it. When covering the soil to half the hole, gently lift the seedling up to make the root system stretch, then cover the soil to the full hole, apply appropriate amount of fire soil ash or soil miscellaneous fertilizer, cover the fine soil not over the root neck of the seedling 2-3 cm.

Field Management of Angelica sinensis

1. Seedling management: the soil must be kept moist after sowing to facilitate seed germination. Pick loose cover grass for about 40 days. When the seedling height is about 3 cm, loosen the soil once, immediately pull out the weeds, after the summer day, choose the cloudy day to remove all the cover grass. Pay attention to drought prevention and drainage at seedling stage.

2. Seedling storage: Cold Dew to Frosts Descent, when the temperature drops to about 5 ℃, when the leaves begin to wither, dig up the seedlings, tie up some soil into small handfuls, dry them and remove water for cellar or heap storage. Seedlings are too old to be stored in piles. When storing, pay attention to placing them facing outward and roots in.

3. Replenishing seedlings: under normal circumstances, after the seedlings come out about 20 days after transplanting, the seedlings should be replenished with small seedlings with soil in overcast and rainy days. The seedlings were fixed about 3 months after planting, and the diseased seedlings and weak seedlings were removed, and 1 plant was retained in each hole.

4. Weeding in the middle of ploughing: in the middle of May, weeding should be carried out for the first time, it is appropriate to hoe shallowly and do not bury seedlings in the soil. In the middle of June, the second time of weeding, deep hoe can be used to promote root development.

5. Bolting: after transplanting, the plants that blossom and bear fruit in the same year are called early bolting, and the roots can not be used medicinally, so they should be completely removed.

6. Topdressing: Angelica sinensis is a fertilizer-loving plant. Phosphorus, potassium and ammonia fertilizer should be applied during the leaf peak period in late June and the root growth period in early August.

The seed of Angelica sinensis

When collecting seeds, you must often go to the field for observation. Looking down from the top of the flower stem, we can see that the first ear is pink, the second ear is light red, and the third ear is light yellow, which needs to be harvested (usually in the first and middle of August). Overmature seeds, seedling transplanting, will bolting early, so it is best in the seed medium well, fold off the ear, insert in water or wet soil, or rolled in Artemisia annua, after 12 to 48 hours, see white has completed the post-ripening effect. Tie the harvested ear into small handfuls, hang the stalk with branches in a smokeless, dry and ventilated place, make it fully dry (water content less than 8%), then remove impurities, seal and store in a dry and cool place. Avoid exposure, baking and rain.

Direct seeding cultivation must select biennial seeds with high maturity and full grains. Direct seeding with such seeds will result in early emergence, vigorous seedling growth and rapid growth, which is an important factor to obtain high yield. However, such seeds are only suitable for direct seeding and cannot be used for seedling breeding.

The main producing areas of Angelica sinensis

Angelica sinensis is mainly distributed in Gansu, Yunnan, Sichuan, Ningxia and other places, and was born in cold and rainy mountain areas. Angelica is cultivated, mainly produced in Minxian, Dangchang, Wudu, Zhangxian, Weiyuan, Wenxian and other places in Gansu Province. Weixi, Deqin, Zhongdian, Lanping and other counties in Yunnan Province, as well as Sichuan, Shaanxi, Hubei and other provinces also have production. Among them, Minxian County and Dangchang County, Gansu Province have high yield and the best quality, and are known as "the hometown of Chinese angelica".

Foreign distribution of Angelica sinensis: Angelica sinensis is native to western Asia and is cultivated in many countries in Europe and North America. China introduced Angelica sinensis from Europe in 1957.

At present, the market demand of Angelica sinensis is not decreasing, and the number of people planting Angelica sinensis is also increasing. Compared with the drug farmers who have been dealing with medicinal materials for a long time, the growers of Angelica sinensis in the new period still lack corresponding planting experience. Therefore, on the basis of mastering the planting technology of Angelica sinensis, it is more important to practice and learn more.
