The price of food in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province has risen for two weeks, and most of the high prices are vegetables.
Food prices in Huai'an, Jiangsu Province rose moderately for the second week in a row. Yesterday, monitoring data from the municipal price monitoring center showed that the average price of 32 kinds of vegetables monitored in the urban area rose 0.7 percent last week, and the current price is about 3.5 yuan / 500 grams. From the recent trend, affected by the early rain and snow weather, food prices in the urban area after climbing to a high level, is currently in a relatively stable period.
According to monitoring, the prices of 32 kinds of vegetables in urban areas rose 12, 12 flat and 8 fell, although they still showed a situation of rising more and falling less, but the overall balance was more prominent, which is also corresponding to the overall stability of current vegetable prices. In addition, the rise and fall of vegetable prices in this issue is also significantly small, of which only celery, green pepper, garlic moss, Pleurotus ostreatus and other varieties rise and fall by more than 10 percentage points, while other varieties fluctuate slightly.
In terms of price, there are still 14 varieties of vegetables for every 500 grams of one or two yuan, the second lowest since October, only a slight increase over the previous week. Among them, "one-yuan dish" includes six varieties, such as Chinese cabbage, white radish, cabbage, wax gourd, soybean sprout and mung bean sprout, with the same quantity and variety as the previous week. There are as many as 13 varieties of vegetables that reach or exceed 4 yuan per 500 grams, accounting for 40% of the total. They are cucumber (4 yuan), green pepper (4 yuan), beans (5.5 yuan), garlic moss (4.8 yuan), leek (5 yuan), yam (4.1 yuan), broccoli (4.5 yuan), mushroom (7.3 yuan), flat mushroom (4 yuan), towel gourd (5.5 yuan), edamame bean (5.8 yuan), garlic (5.4 yuan) and ginger (4.8 yuan). It can be seen that the current food prices are not cheap, and the choice of space is also relatively small.
On the whole, vegetable prices will mainly rise for some time in the future, but the increase will not be big. The relevant person in charge of the municipal price monitoring center believes that "mainly rising" is because vegetable prices are in a seasonal rising cycle, but due to the constraints of oil prices, demand, and inflation, vegetable prices are unlikely to "outshine others" unless they encounter extreme bad weather.
