An on-the-spot meeting of Pleurotus ostreatus sowing was held in Pinghu City, Zhejiang Province.

At present, it is the sowing time of Pleurotus ostreatus. In order to further improve the sowing technical level of growers, the Agricultural Technology extension Foundation of Pinghu City of Zhejiang Province and the Municipal Agricultural Technology Popularization Center jointly held a city-wide on-the-spot sowing meeting of Pailou Village, Xindai Town, Shen Genfu Pailou Village and the conference room of Pailou Village of Xindai Town. The relevant towns and street agricultural technology and water conservancy service centers have worked as technicians. The big ball cover mushroom growers attended the on-the-spot meeting.

Shen Genfu planted 30 mu of Pleurotus ostreatus this year, of which 15 mu were planted in facilities. This year, he improved the planting method of Pleurotus ostreatus, changing the cultivation bed of Pleurotus ostreatus from concave to convex, which can avoid the death of mycelium caused by stagnant water in the mushroom bed. The three greenhouses displayed at the spot are rice straw evenly arranged into five rows in an 8-meter greenhouse, each straw 60 cm wide. After the rice straw was sown, the soil beside the straw was dug down to form a turtle back, with a thickness of about 4 cm. After covering the soil, continuous water was sprayed with sprinkler irrigation installed on the shed (it is required to spray water for about three days, and the straw is all wet through).

After visiting the scene, the participants went to the conference room of Paiji Village in Xindai Town to participate in the training on the cultivation techniques of Pleurotus ostreatus conducted by Zhu Yuandi, director of the Municipal Edible Fungi Research Institute. Director Zhu combined theory with practice. Around the sowing of Pleurotus ostreatus, the management of the period from fungus to mushroom collection, temperature, humidity, and air regulation were explained in detail, including the cultivation techniques summarized in the actual experiment, which were both thorough and easy to understand. At the meeting, the operation rules for the cultivation of Pleurotus ostreatus and the technical data on the high quality and efficient cultivation techniques of Pleurotus ostreatus were also released.

After the meeting, Lu Baozhong, president of the Municipal Agricultural Technology extension Foundation, asked the vast number of growers to do a good job in the sowing, management, and marketing of Pleurotus ostreatus, strive to grow and sell well, and achieve good economic and ecological benefits.
