Gu Shoujiang, who was still a county accountant at that time, once met a farmer selling celery on his way back to the village. the price was very cheap, which was already lower than the cost of growing vegetables, because the price was so low that many people in the village simply let the vegetables rot in the fields without harvest. After seeing it, he was so distressed that he organized a team of six people in the village and took 40,000 jin of celery to Zhengzhou, Henan Province. Unexpectedly, all these vegetables were sold out in less than a day, and the price was more than double that sold locally. The experience of running to the market for the first time is still fresh in Gu Shoujiang's memory. After tasting the sweetness, many young people in the village began to go to the market to sell local food. Seeing the business opportunities here, Gu Shoujiang organized people from three villages to set up Xinlei vegetable distribution department, which went to various places to promote vegetables in July every year. With the expansion of the business scale, in 2010, on the basis of the distribution department, Gu Shoujiang established Xinlei vegetable professional cooperative.

As a leader, Gu Shoujiang is determined to be market-oriented, to grow green vegetables as the goal, and to lead the villagers to become rich together. The cooperative has 1500 mu of demonstration land, all of which have transformed the dry land into irrigated land. If farmers are willing to contract the land, they can rent it back to farmers at a price lower than the market price. Farmers can also join the cooperative by buying shares in the land and implement the system of freedom to join and withdraw from the cooperative. Members of the cooperative give priority to the wholesale prices of seeds and chemical fertilizers, and technicians guide the whole process before, during and after planting. Vegetables are sold to Zhengzhou, Xuzhou, Anhui, Beijing and other places. "now we are growing on a large scale, and we all follow his arrangement in terms of planting area, seed, planting technology, fertilization and product market. this year, the highest price of celery per mu can reach 10,000 yuan, and it is very easy to sell." When cooperative members talk about cooperatives, they are full of trust and pride when they talk about Gu Shoujiang. Because it is under the leadership of Gu Shoujiang, we have explored a road of agricultural development with one-stop production, supply and marketing. 540 members have increased their income by growing vegetables and led a life like city dwellers.

The Shangdu county party committee and government give strong support to Xinlei vegetable professional cooperatives and try their best to create conditions for the cooperatives to promote their healthy development. The storage and processing base of Xinlei vegetable professional cooperative, which covers an area of 70 mu, is provided free of charge by the county government, and a party member activity room has been built. every year, technicians from the Agriculture and Animal Husbandry Bureau are invited to teach cooperative members how to grow vegetables.
