Plum blossom has been planted in China for a long time, and it belongs to a very famous flower variety in our country. The ornamental value of plum blossom is very high, mainly take the flower as the ornamental point, now there are many people who plant it, when planting, the method of grafting propagation is the most common. In addition, there are some other ways to reproduce plum blossoms.

Grafting method of plum blossom

1. The selection of budding rootstocks. For the seedlings of peach and apricot in the same year, or the new branches extracted in the same year, the branches with a diameter of 0.3 to 0.4cm were selected.

2. Selection and treatment of budding. The strong branches of the mother tree were picked out more than ten days before grafting, and the full buds were selected in the middle and upper part of the grafting.

3. Grafting process. In the Gregorian calendar, T-shaped buds are used from mid-June to early July, opening 5 to 15 centimeters above the ground (5 to 10 centimeters for new branches). Pay attention to 3-4 leaves below the opening. When cutting bud slices, we must pay attention to keep the petiole and try our best to ensure the integrity of bud slices. If the wrinkle is serious or the bud core is damaged, do not use it. It is recommended to take it again. May take the bud piece to contain in the mouth, might as well wet with a little saliva, pick open the rootstock cortex, insert the bud into the opening, wrap it tightly with plastic film, the tightness is not to injure the bark, do not enter the water.

3. Deal with it later. The petiole of the bud will fall off automatically after 5 to 10 days of grafting, and it can be boldly unbound in about 10 days. Observe whether the grafted buds survive fresh green (blackened and necrotic ones can be grafted at the bottom). If there is no obvious necrosis, cut the anvil 1 cm above the interface in 3 to 4 days. Do not remove the leaves under the buds, and observe them every three or two days. Wipe off the sprouting buds of the rootstock in time, otherwise it is easy to suck the buds to death. More than ten days after cutting the anvil, the buds will germinate.

Propagation method of plum blossom

1. Sow and reproduce. The seeds were sown directly. Attention must be paid to collecting fully ripe fruit from fine mother plants with large fruit and small seed. Generally, it is better to sow in autumn, and the specific time can be carried out in late September. Pour enough water and cover with fine soil or sand. When the seedlings grow to 10 cm to 15 cm in the spring of the following year, they can be transplanted from the seedbed. If the seeds are sown and propagated in spring, the seeds should be stored with wet sand after they are washed and dried, and the strips should be taken out for sowing in early spring. Plum trees propagated with seeds can withstand drought. It grows vigorously and is suitable for planting on the hillside. However, the plum trees bred by this method are genetically unstable and have great variation.

2. Cuttage propagation. The operation of cutting propagation of plum blossom is simple and the technology is not complicated. The rapid soaking treatment of cuttings with indole acetic acid 500ppm or naphthylacetic acid 1000ppm water agent can improve the survival rate and promote the rooting of the varieties which are difficult to root. The cuttage of plum blossom is better in November, so the leaves are fallen and the branches are stored with sufficient nutrients, which is easy to take root and survive. Choose one-year-old 10 cm to 12 cm long sturdy branches as cuttings, when cutting, most of the branches will be buried in the soil, leaving only two or three centimeters on the soil surface, and leaving a bud outside. It is required that the soil quality of the cutting land is loose and the drainage is good.

How can plum blossoms be rich and watery?

1. Watering. It is not suitable to water the pot, once a day after 3-4 days, once a day after 7-10 days, and twice a day from May to August after survival. The soil should not be too wet, do not burst water.

2. Fertilization. Plum blossom does not like big fat, when the new shoot grows to about 5 cm, it can be applied a thin bone jam fertilizer water to promote the growth of branches. When putting leaves, there should be sufficient fertilizer and water, and rarefied liquid fertilizer should be applied once a month to promote luxuriant branches and leaves. When the branches grow to 20-25 cm, fertilizer and water should be controlled. Topdressing was applied twice in late summer and early autumn to promote flower bud differentiation. After each fertilization, attention should be paid to timely watering and loosening the soil in order to keep the basin soil loose and beneficial to the development of root system.

Pest and control of plum blossom

1. Dendrolimus punctatus. Prevention method: when it is found that the larvae are clustered on the curtain, the screen can be cleared and the larvae can be burned; spray with 2500 solution of imidacloprid wettable powder or 2.5% Kung Fu EC 3000 times.

2. Longicorn beetles with red neck. Control methods: at noon on a sunny day after rain from May to June, look for adults resting on branches, kill them, or spray them with 2.5% Kung Fu EC 3000 times; after defecation wormholes are found in tree trunks, fumigate them with poison labels or plug them with dichlorvos; at the end of autumn and early winter, the tree trunks are painted white.

In fact, the method of grafting plum blossom is not difficult, in the grafting must be prepared to drill wood, and then choose the appropriate time to carry out. After grafting, it is necessary to do good maintenance in the later stage, proper watering and fertilization are inevitable, and only in this way can its survival rate be guaranteed.
