Cherry blossom is a kind of flower variety produced in China. At present, it is distributed in many countries in the world. It is a kind of ornamental plant. At present, cherry blossoms are very popular in the market, so they attract a lot of people to plant, but before planting, people should have a comprehensive understanding of its planting technology, otherwise there will be some problems after planting.

How to plant cherry trees

1. Soil. The growth of cherry blossoms does not have high requirements on the soil, so it is suitable for growing in sand or clay. The soil is loose and fertile, but pay attention to the fact that cherry blossoms are not tolerant to salinity.

2. Light and temperature. Cherry blossoms like a sunny growing environment, and the climate needs to be warmer. In breeding to give sufficient light, the temperature should be kept high, cherry blossoms can be cold-resistant, but not very wind-resistant, so need to be windproof in winter.

3. Planting: the ground should be leveled before planting. A hole 0.8 meters wide by 0.6 meters deep can be dug. The pit is first filled with 10 centimeters of organic fertilizer, and the seedlings are put into the pit so that the roots of the seedlings extend in all directions.

Planting method of cherry blossom trees

1. Dig holes for planting: the cherry trees should level the ground before planting. A hole with a diameter of 0.8 meters and a depth of 0.6 meters can be dug. The pit is first filled with 10 centimeters of organic fertilizer, and the seedlings are put into the pit so that the roots of the seedlings extend in all directions. After filling the soil, lift the seedling up to make the root spread deep, and then do it firmly. The planting depth is about 5 cm from the upper layer of the seedling root. water it after planting, fully irrigate it, and set it up with a stick to prevent it from being blown down by strong winds.

2. Rational watering: the seedlings of cherry trees are vulnerable to drought after planting. In addition to full irrigation during planting, they should be irrigated once in the next 8-10 days to keep the soil moist but without stagnant water. Loosen the soil in time after irrigation, it is best to cover the surface thinly with grass to reduce water evaporation. Within 2-3 years after planting, in order to prevent the trunk from drying, it can be wrapped with straw. However, after 2 to 3 years, the seedlings grow new roots and gradually increase their adaptability to the environment, so it is no longer necessary to cover grass.

3. Timely fertilization: Cherry blossoms are fertilized twice a year, and acid fertilizer is better. One is winter fertilizer, and organic fertilizer such as bean cake, chicken manure and mature fertilizer is applied in winter or early spring. Another time after falling flowers, ammonium sulfate, ferrous sulfate, calcium superphosphate and other quick-acting fertilizers were applied. In general, the method of hole application can be adopted for the fertilization of large cherry blossom trees, that is, digging a circular ditch with a depth of about 10 cm at the edge of the positive projection line of the crown, applying fertilizer, which is not only simple and beneficial to root absorption, but also increases with the growth of the tree. The diameter and depth of the ring ditch of fertilization also increased.

Matters needing attention in planting cherry blossoms

Pruning during the growing period, be careful not to hurt the bark, disinfect the wound in time after pruning, and use disinfectant to smear the wound to avoid bacterial infection and decay.

Diseases and insect pests of cherry blossoms and their control

1. Leaf blight. Prevention and treatment: remove and burn diseased leaves and spray Bordeaux solution before germination. Spray 65% Dyson zinc wettable powder 500 times from May to June, once every 7 to 10 days, 2 to 3 times in a row.

2. Root cancer. Prevention and treatment: seedlings infected with root cancer must be destroyed centrally. Before planting, it is best to soak them with 1% copper sulfate for 5 to 10 minutes, then wash them with water, and then plant them. It was found that the diseased strain could completely remove the tumor and its surrounding tissue with a knife saw. The soil around the diseased plant can also be disinfected with sulfur powder according to the dosage of 50 to 100 grams per square meter. At the same time, pay attention to soil improvement.

3. Scale insects. Control method: the most favorable period for the control of shell insects is the peak hatching period of nymphs, spraying 25% imidophos 600 to 800 times or 40% omethoate emulsion 1000 times. Spray 5 Baomedo stone sulfur mixture or 3% to 5% diesel emulsion in winter and spring to eliminate overwintering nymphs. The effect is better.

When planting cherry blossoms, we must pay attention to light and temperature, followed by the choice of soil, and then choose the appropriate time to plant. After planting, it is necessary to strengthen the work of fertilizer and water, diseases and insect pests and pruning. Only in this way can the cherry blossoms grow healthily after planting.
