For experienced flower growers, the propagation of flowers is a matter of light driving. In general, the propagation methods of flowers and plants are nothing more than cutting, sowing, striping, grafting and so on. The reproduction methods of golden marbles are also very simple, and the most commonly used one is sowing and reproduction. However, the golden marble is a little different in that it is dioecious, so there are many attempts at grafting reproduction.

How to engraft marbles

1. Grafting time

Early May is the best time for golden marbles to be grafted.

2. Grafting skills

The golden billiard pile generally needs to retain 3-5 strong branches, cut off those branches that are not used for grafting from the base, and the retained branches need to be properly reduced in strength, retaining about 5 cm at the base.

Then use a sharp cutter to split longitudinally along the center of the cross section, with a cut depth of about 2 cm, be careful not to be too deep. After that, on the female plant that has reached the age of hanging fruit, cut the stout branches, the thickness can refer to the grafted rootstock branches, almost on the line, the length of the terminal bud is about 5 cm and has 4-5 axillary buds is better, this success rate is higher.

Then cut off the cortex on both sides of the scion with a sterilized blade, and the cutting surface is about 2 cm long, which is basically the same as the split depth of the rootstock, so that the xylem can be slightly exposed. Then insert the wedge-shaped end of the cut scion base into the split of the rootstock, so that at least one side of the formation layer is aligned, and the rootstock joint can be bound with a binding band.

Finally, put on the plastic bag, cover the whole scion (including the joint part of the rootstock) and fasten the plastic bag. As long as a little attention is paid to the management and care in the later stage, the grafting is basically successful.

Propagation method of golden marbles

1. Sowing and reproduction

Usually in March or April, the ripe marble fruit is picked, the seeds are taken out, washed with clean water and dried. Soak the seeds in 30 ℃-50 ℃ hot water, remove them two days later, put them in a leaky container and cover with wet gauze. After that, it was watered about 3 times a day, and the suitable water temperature was about 25 ℃. After the seeds broke and germinated, they were sown on the seedling bed or in a container.

The soil had better choose loose and breathable peat soil or nutritious soil, and pay attention to keep the soil moist. After emergence, some liquid fertilizer with low concentration can be applied to promote the healthy growth of seedlings. It should be noted that golden marbles are cross-pollinated plants, so the plants propagated by sowing will have greater separation and variation, so the seedlings need to be selected before transplanting in order to achieve better results.

2. Cuttage propagation

Both the new branch and the old branch can be propagated by cutting. The key of cutting propagation lies in the cutting time, and it is the most suitable to choose the middle of April every year. It is also important to keep the bed moist and the cuttings fresh. If possible, place the bed in full sunlight, spray it during the day and stop at night. If there are no conditions, you can put the slotting bed in a bright, spacious, well-ventilated half-shaded place, remember to spray 3-4 times a day, which is helpful to ensure the survival of cutting skills. Making small bonsai with cuttings usually takes three years to hang up the fruit.

How to raise golden marbles

1. Temperature

The golden marbles are resistant to low temperature, but the activity requires high accumulated temperature. April to November is the suitable period for the growth of golden marbles, and the suitable temperature for growth is controlled between 28 ℃ and 33 mol.

2. Lighting

Like plenty of sunshine, pay attention not to put it indoors for too long, otherwise insufficient light will cause its leaves to fall off and affect the hanging fruit.

3. Watering

Golden marbles like the moist semi-shady growth environment, usually must keep the basin soil moist, not dry. In summer high temperature, pay attention to do a good job of shading at the same time, to increase the number of watering, you can use spray water to increase the humidity of the surrounding air. In the flower bud differentiation period, the moisture should be strictly controlled, mainly dry, so as to dry and irrigate immediately. Combined watering can increase the amount of available fertilizer, but the concentration should not be too high.

4. Soil

Gold marbles can grow well in both acidic and alkaline soils.

5. Fertilization

Nitrogen fertilizer is the main fertilizer in spring to promote the growth of branches and prepare for the cultivation of new fruiting branches. Fully fertilize and apply more phosphate fertilizer during the growing period. In the later stage of branch growth, potash fertilizer is mainly applied, such as plant ash. Generally combined with turning the basin at the same time, increase the application of cake fertilizer and other fertilizer.

The method of hanging many fruits in the bonsai with golden marbles

1. Daily management

After the golden marbles are planted, they need to be watered once and kept in a cool place for half a month, so that they can be managed normally. After the new buds germinate, the rotten fertilizer liquid should be irrigated once a month to apply more fertilizer in spring and autumn, less in summer, and no fertilizer in winter.

2. Fruit culture

As the golden marble is dioecious, it is necessary to make the male plant next to the female plant blossom as much as possible during its flowering period, so as to facilitate its natural pollination and improve the fruit hanging rate. If there is no flowering male plant next to it, artificial pollination is needed. When the female plant has fallen flowers and the fruit has been hung on the flower pedicel, it can be sprayed twice every half a month, which is beneficial to improve the fruit setting rate. In the ninth month of the lunar calendar, it is best to spray the urea water of 1VR 600 twice, which is helpful to make the result big and shiny.

With regard to the breeding methods of golden marbles, that's all for today. I hope it will be helpful to you all. The sprouting power of golden marbles is very strong, so friends with ideas can have a try. In addition, it should be noted that the branches of golden marbles are soft and need to be pruned frequently to help them blossom and bear fruit.
