Hydroponic hyacinth is a very widely used way to plant hyacinth, although it is not as sufficient as soil culture can provide nutrients, but it can fully watch the growth of the whole plant. However, since hydroponics cannot allow hyacinths to absorb nutrients from the soil, we need to replenish hyacinths from other places when we breed them.

How to cultivate hyacinth by water cultivation

If you use fresh water to change the secondary water of hyacinth every 7 days, if you use hydroponic nutrient solution, you will change the nutrient solution every 15 days according to the degree of turbidity, no matter how to keep the water quality in the bottle clean. Hyacinth can be kept in a special gourd-like glass bottle, and its flower clusters can be seen in the upper paragraph. After more than 20 days, the root sprouts out in total darkness, and then it can be exposed to the sun outside.

Methods and matters needing attention in hydroponic culture of hyacinth

1. Washing and pruning roots

After buying the seed ball, there will be a purple protective layer on the surface, or even a small amount of soil, which we need to clean up so as not to affect the water quality of hydroponics. First rinse the seed ball in a slow stream, then peel off the purple skin until the white part is exposed. In addition, the root should also be cleaned, the ball must have drifted across the sea before it was sent to you. I don't know how much mold you have (of course you can't see it), so cut off the old root at the bottom. The old root is generally black and dirty, and the new root grown in water is beautiful.

2. Disinfection and sterilization

Hyacinth seed balls have not been completely clean after being washed, and they need to be sterilized. Mix the prepared carbendazim with water, soak the seed ball for 15 to 20 minutes, take it out, absorb the water with a paper towel, dry it naturally in a cool place, and plant it after a day.

3. Place the seed ball

Hydroponic hyacinth only needs to put the bulb in a container. Generally, the bulb is 2mm away from the water surface, and the amount of water should not be too much. Make sure that the root system has enough space to breathe before taking root.

For hydroponics is easy, you can choose a glass cup with a similar caliber. Of course, a container with a hydroponic basket is the best.

4. Points for attention

① change water: keep hyacinth in clean water and change water once a week; if you use nutrient solution, change it every 10-15 days, the specific time can be based on the cleanliness of the water in the container.

② disinfection: in the process of hydroponics, it is forbidden to fill up the water. After two months of maintenance, put the hyacinth in a wide-mouthed glass bottle and add a small amount of charcoal to help disinfect and prevent decay.

Cultivation and protection method of hyacinth water

1. Place the hyacinth in a cool, dark and well-ventilated place, keep the temperature between 9 °C and 13 °C, and check once a week to see if you need to replenish water.

2. When the flower bud grows 8cm from the bulb (about 10 to 12 weeks later), the glass bottle is filled with roots, and the hyacinth can be moved into the greenhouse.

3. When the temperature in your home is kept between 17 °C and 20 °C, you will enjoy the process of bud growth and color development. But do not put them directly near the heat source, so that the beautiful hyacinth flowers can extend the opening time.

4. After flowering, you can plant the ball in your courtyard. In summer you can arrange flowers in glass bottles, while in winter you can buy a treated hyacinth and reuse it.

The key points of changing water for hydroponic hyacinth

When hydroponic hyacinth, add water to pay attention to the distance between the surface of the water and the bottom of the bulb, do not submerge the bulb.

When changing water, the water level should not be too high. If you are using tap water, you need to rest it in use first. You can add some nutrient solution to the water properly.

Note that during the growth period, the hyacinth grows slowly, and after waiting for the roots, you only need to keep the water level at a position where you can reach the surface of the water.

Changing water is a very necessary means for hyacinth hydroponics. There are two noteworthy points about changing water: one is the time frequency of changing water; the other is that the water needs to stand still, and then release the chlorine contained in the water. At the same time, some nutrient solution should be added to the water.
