Cyclamen is a common family planting flowers, its design and color is bright, very good-looking, planted at home can not only decorate the home, but also make people happy, so deeply loved by everyone, many people try to plant, but in the process encountered watering problems make people embarrassed, so how on earth should it be watered?

How to water cyclamen (how often)

Cyclamen does not like too wet soil, watering should be frequent and less, if it is not dormant in summer, normal watering can be carried out to keep the basin soil dry. After the Beginning of Autumn, cyclamen enters the reproductive growth period, then phosphorus and potassium fertilizer should be applied. When the temperature is 17 ℃ ~ 18 ℃, water cyclamen once every 3 days.

Cyclamen breeding method

1. Sowing reproduction: sowing reproduction is one of the common methods of cyclamen reproduction. Cyclamen seeds can only be obtained after artificial pollination. The seeds generally mature in May and should be harvested in time. Cyclamen seeds are larger, with a 1000-seed weight of about 10g and a general germination rate of 85% to 95%. In order to promote seed germination, the seeds can be soaked before sowing, soaked in cold water for 24 hours or 30 ℃ in warm water for 2 hours, then washed the adhesion on the surface of the seeds, wrapped in wet cloth to accelerate germination, kept the temperature for 2 days at 25 ℃, and the seeds could be taken out and sown after a little germination. Sowing time is generally from September to October, sowing seeds in ordinary flowerpots.

2. Split tuber propagation: cyclamen tuber can not divide bulbs naturally, so it can not be divided into bulbs like general bulb flowers, so it needs to be propagated artificially. Generally, when the tuber is about to germinate in late August, the tuber should be longitudinally cut into several pieces from the top, each piece should have bud eyes, and the cut should be coated with plant ash and dried a little, then it can be planted in the flowerpot and will soon spread leaves and blossom.

The reason for the yellowing of cyclamen leaves

1. Long-term de-fertilization: there is no application of nitrogen fertilizer or change of water for a long time, and there is a lack of nitrogen and other nutrient elements in the water, resulting in thin and yellow branches and leaves.

2. Excessive fertilization: if there is too much fertilization, the new leaves will be thick and uneven, and the dry tips of the old leaves will fall off.

3. Hot and high temperature: if you put the daffodils in a high temperature and let the strong light shine directly, it is easy to cause the young leaf tip and edge to scorch, or the leaf yellow to fall off.

4. Alkalinity of soil and water: if there is a lack of soluble iron and other elements that can be absorbed by it in the growth environment, the leaves will gradually turn yellow.

5. Lack of ventilation: if too much nitrogen fertilizer is applied, the branches and leaves will grow luxuriantly, coupled with long-term unpruned, resulting in insufficient light in the inner chamber branches and leaves, which is easy to cause leaves to yellowing and falling off.

6. Air drying: when indoor air is too dry, daffodils often appear phenomena such as leaf tip dryness or leaf edge scorching.

The solution of cyclamen leaves yellowing

The main results are as follows: 1. It is necessary to change into new culture water in time and gradually apply rarefied mature liquid fertilizer or compound flower fertilizer.

2. The fertilizer should be stopped immediately, the amount of water should be increased, and the fertilizer should be lost, or the bulb should be washed with water and then replanted.

3. Move to a cool place with good ventilation in time.

4. Acid soil and water should be selected when planting, and alum fertilizer and water should be often irrigated during the growth period.

5. Fertilizer should be applied reasonably and pruning should be strengthened to make it ventilated and transparent.

6. Water spraying and plastic film cover should be used to increase air humidity.

It turns out that cyclamen watering is so fastidious. It likes high temperature and is afraid of cold, so it should also be skillful in watering. We can water it according to the above way, so that it will not be so prone to problems. In addition, we have to guard against the phenomenon of leaf yellow, which will affect beauty.
