As a leaf-appreciating plant, Brazilian iron is not only beautiful in shape, simple in planting and maintenance, but also a good partner in home and office. It can not only relieve visual fatigue, relax the brain, but also absorb poisonous and harmful gases in the environment and purify the air. It is really necessary to keep a pot in places such as home and office. So how to maintain Brazilian iron?

How to raise Brazilian iron

1. Lighting

Brazilian iron likes a warm, sunny environment, which is more shady and cold-resistant, but it is also afraid of the scorching sun. Therefore, to breed Brazilian iron, it should be placed near the balcony where sunlight or scattered light is sufficient. The full absorption of light can make it carry out photosynthesis very well, and the full growth of plants can make the air fresh and breathing unobstructed at home.

2. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature of Brazilian iron is between 20 and 30 ℃. The warm environmental temperature can make Brazilian iron better for photosynthesis and respiration, which is full of vitality in the home.

3. Soil

Brazilian iron is suitable to use sandy loam with loose, fertile and good drainage. When growing Brazilian iron, this soil ensures that the Brazilian iron is usually drained, greatly reduces the stagnant water in the basin soil, prevents rotting roots, and enables it to grow healthily.

4. Watering

Brazilian iron likes a warm and humid climate, so the cultivation of Brazilian iron needs to maintain high air humidity, avoid stagnant water, which will lead to root rot. Brazilian iron should not be watered too much at ordinary times, and the basin soil is dry and rewatered. When it comes to winter, when the temperature drops to 13 ℃, it will enter a dormant period, when watering should be reduced appropriately to keep the basin soil moist and dry; if the basin soil is too wet for a long time, it will lead to rotting roots and death.

5. Fertilization

The evil spirit of Brazilian iron on fertilization is not high, the young plants are irrigated with thin liquid fertilizer every 15 days during the re-growth period, and the formed plants can be fertilized every 2 months during the growth period. Fertilization should be based on phosphorus and potassium compound fertilizer, but more nitrogen fertilizer can be applied.

Matters needing attention of iron culture in Brazil

1. Cut off the yellow leaves. As long as the rhizome is not dead, it doesn't hurt to cut off all the leaves. After changing the pot soil, put it in a ventilated place with scattered light, and maintain a certain degree of environmental humidity, the iron tree will sprout new leaves again.

2. Spray carbendazim on the iron tree.

3. If the leaves are yellowed due to iron deficiency, alum fertilizer water should be applied, or 0.1 Mel 0.3% ferrous sulfate solution should be sprayed.

4. Shade in summer to prevent exposure to the hot sun.

5. Iron trees should take measures to keep warm when they are afraid of the cold.

6. The leaves are stuffy and yellow due to poor ventilation, so they can be watched indoors during the day and move outdoors at night.

7. Too wet soil causes rotten roots and leaves withered and yellow.

Growth habits of Brazilian iron

1. Many kinds of Brazilian iron are resistant to cold for 10 ℃, and they like to grow in high temperature, humid and semi-overcast environment.

2. Sex likes the environment with sufficient light, high temperature and high humidity, as well as shade and dryness. It also grows well in the bright scattered light and the dry environment of the northern bedroom.

3. Brazilian wood has a strong adaptability to light. It can be displayed continuously for more than a month in the dark room in the north, and can be displayed for a long time in the bright room of Gu'an County.

4. Nature likes high temperature, high humidity and well-ventilated environment, preferring light and shade, but afraid of hot sun, avoiding dryness, drought, dredging and sandy soil with good drainage.

5. The temperature for growth is about 20-28 ℃. It is necessary to prevent leaves from withering and drying after 13 ℃ in winter, and the temperature for overwintering should be set to 5 ℃.

Disease Control of Brazilian Iron

1. Due to the dryness of ring culture, it is easy to grow red spiders by placing Brazilian iron on the balcony or indoor windowsill for a long time. Red spiders, commonly known as fire dragons, belong to mite pests, clustered on the back of plant leaves, netting bunkers and sucking liquid juice.

2. Brazilian wood should always keep its leaves clean. Red spiders often hide on the back of branches and leaves or in dense places, so it is easy to catch them manually.

3. If treated with chemical agents, 20% trichloroacarol emulsion can be added to 1000 times of water to make a solution spray, which has a good killing effect on adults, nymphs and eggs.

4. It can also be sprayed with 1000 times of omethoate EC or 1000 times of trichlorfon, once a week for 3 times in a row. 50% dichlorvos emulsion can also be added to 1000-1500 times water to make a solution spray.

Brazilian iron is easy to grow, strong vitality, easy to cultivate, in the purification of toxic and harmful substances, fresh air, its green leaves are excellent ornamental, can effectively relieve visual fatigue, relax nerves is a good choice for families, offices and other places. As the new darling of urban home, the prospect of breeding is considerable.
