Citrus is a kind of fruit that many people like, it is vitamin C for walking, and the time of growing citrus in our country is also relatively long. There are still many experiences in citrus cultivation, but for people who have not come into contact with citrus, planting citrus should start from the planting experience of predecessors, and then continue to form their own conceptual system in the process of planting.

How to plant orange trees

1. The best growing soil: orange trees like sunlight and are suitable for growing in fertile, loose, slightly acidic and well-drained sandy soil.

2, growth humidity requirements: like a warm environment with a certain humidity, the basin soil should be kept moist, but the basin can not be stagnant water. When the weather is hot from summer to early autumn, in addition to watering the basin, you should also spray water on the site around the basin to keep it moist.

3. The best growth temperature: orange trees prefer warmth, shade tolerance, and are more sensitive to temperature than to light. The most suitable growth temperature is 26 degrees Celsius and 23-34 degrees Celsius is the most suitable.

4. The best growth light: orange is a fruit with strong negative tolerance, but good sunshine is still needed for high quality and high yield. in general, areas with annual sunshine hours of 1200 to 2200 hours can grow normally.

Orange planting methods and matters needing attention

1. Seedling planting: when the orange seedlings are planted, the roots of the seedlings are trimmed moderately and placed in the center of the planting hole to stretch the roots, straighten the roots, and gently lift the seedlings upward while filling the soil. Pour enough water on the roots, make a 1-meter plate around the seedlings and cover them with bran shells. After planting orange seedlings, we should do a good job of deep hole expansion and ripening soil, forbid planting tall plants such as corn and wheat in the garden, and do a good job of rational intercropping and weeding in orchards.

2. Fertilizer and water management: orange trees should fully meet the needs of blood orange for various nutrient elements, advocate the application of more organic fertilizer, rational application of inorganic fertilizer and formula fertilizer, and guide fertilization according to the results of leaf analysis, orchard soil analysis and blood orange phenology. Soil fertilization is the main method, combined with foliar fertilization. The methods of ring ditch application, furrow application, hole application and soil surface fertilizer application were adopted. The soil is irrigated when it is dry and drained when it is stagnant.

3. Rational fertilization: orange trees should be applied frequently and thinly, mainly nitrogen fertilizer, combined with phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, and fertilized 5-6 times in spring, summer and autumn shoot emergence period. Adult trees apply four times of fertilizer, that is, sprouting fertilizer, fruit protection fertilizer, strong fruit fertilizer, fruit picking fertilizer, sprouting fertilizer 2kg chemical fertilizer, one load of manure water, 1kg fruit protection fertilizer, 1kg phosphate and potassium fertilizer, 1kg fruit fertilizer, 2jin phosphate and potassium fertilizer, 50kg 100kg organic fertilizer and 2jin chemical fertilizer.

4. Pruning techniques: after the elongated branches in the center and the main branches and secondary branches were selected in the young tree stage, they were cut moderately or severely, and the growth balance among the main branches was adjusted by the degree of truncation and the direction of cutting buds. In the result period, we continue to select short-cut treatment of all levels of backbone extension branches, erase summer shoots and promote strong autumn shoots. Measures such as ring cutting, root cutting and water control are adopted to promote flowers for prosperous trees in autumn.

What if the leaves of orange trees turn yellow?

I. rational watering

The yellowing of orange leaves may be caused by too much hot weather and too much water loss. At this time, you should appropriately increase the amount of water, you can water once in the morning and once in the evening, and pay attention to the amount of water not to be too much. In addition, you can usually spray water to the leaves, or sprinkle water around the basin to increase the humidity of the air.

Second, correct fertilization

Lack of nitrogen or boron fertilizer will make the leaves of orange trees yellow, so fertilizers containing nitrogen or boron should be applied. Less nitrogen can be applied to farm manure or spraying urea, boric acid can be applied to boron deficiency, and boric acid solution is also a good choice.

Third, change the soil quality

Orange trees are more suitable for survival in acidic soil, if the soil is alkaline, it may cause its leaves to turn yellow, or even lose their leaves. You can water it with a little beer, but be careful not to mix it too much. In addition, when choosing soil, you should choose fertile soil with better ventilation. If the soil is dug out from the wild, it should be exposed to the sun.

Fourth, increase the application of various elements

Less iron, less zinc, less manganese and so on may cause the leaves of orange trees to turn yellow, so it is necessary to supplement this element that it lacks. If it is iron deficiency, ferric sulfate or a small amount of sulfur powder can be applied, which can also increase the acidity of the soil. If it is low in zinc, you can spray zinc sulfate solution to the tip of the leaf, and be careful not to have too high concentration. If it is low in manganese, manganese sulfate can be mixed with other fertilizers and applied to it.

V. Prevention and control of insect pests

Red spiders can also cause orange leaves to turn yellow, so it can be sprayed with 5000 times of mite suspension or 1000 times of 15bf.

Fresh-keeping methods of citrus

1. Keep the citrus fresh with garlic solution: mash the garlic cloves and put them into 10 portions of boiling water and stir the liquid, cool them to room temperature, then soak the selected oranges in the garlic solution, take them out and dry for 10 minutes, store them in a box or plastic bag and keep them fresh for 3 months.

2. Keep oranges fresh with soda water: dilute and stir 2 parts of soda and 1 part of water, soak the oranges for 2 minutes, remove them and dry them, put them in a plastic bag and fasten the mouth of the bag so that the oranges can be kept fresh for 3 months.

There are two purposes for growing oranges, one is to plant citrus plants, and the other is to produce oranges. And the second is the most important form in the market at present, so for the final product of orange trees-oranges, we need to take certain measures to keep them fresh, so as to help us get more profits.
