If the orchid is compared to a woman, the ink orchid is the noble and deep one. It has seen the world and is not frightened by the wind and rain. Therefore, people who generally like Mulan are very thoughtful and connotative people, but they understand that Mulan is on the one hand, and planting Mulan is on the other hand, one is spiritual communication, the other is the nourishment of life, and the maintenance of life is the basis of spiritual communication.

How to raise Mo Lan

Mo Lan likes a semi-overcast environment and avoids strong light. Like the warm environment, avoid cold wind and snow. Like the humid environment, avoid dry and muggy.

Culture methods and matters needing attention of Cymbidium

1. Soil

The planting soil of Cymbidium is required to be rich in humus, slightly acidic, loose and breathable, and beneficial to water and fertilizer. For example: rotten leaf soil in the forest, coarse sand in the river, decaying bark, broken bricks, grain husks, water moss, edible fungus waste and so on.

II. Flowers

Commonly used orchid planting pots are: mud basin, pottery basin, glaze basin, plastic basin, suitable for balcony, roof and indoor.

However, the family orchid is mostly ornamental, it is best to choose purple sand basin or plastic basin. Orchid special purple sand basin, mostly in the shape of a high-footed trumpet, with porous bottom, hydrophobic and breathable, chic shape; plastic basin tube is deep, porous, light, clean, cheap, easy to move and reduce floor pressure.

Third, lighting

Mulan likes a semi-overcast environment, with weak sunshine in winter and soft sunshine in spring, which is suitable for the growth of mulan and can shine all day long. The sun is strong in summer and autumn and proper shade is needed. You can put the orchid basin under the eaves and see the light only in the morning or evening, but not after 9 o'clock in the morning.

4. Temperature

The temperature of orchid rooting and sprouting and normal growth is between 20 and 28 ℃, the temperature grows slowly under 20 ℃, grows rapidly above 25 ℃, and goes into dormancy when it is over 30 ℃.

In winter, the temperature was 10 ℃ ~ 16 ℃ in daytime and 5 ℃ ~ 10 ℃ at night. Most families raise orchids to survive the winter indoors, and they can safely survive the severe cold period without taking heating measures in winter and spring. If overwintering in the courtyard or balcony leeward, plastic film can be used to build a temporary greenhouse.

5. Fertilization

Mo Lan fertilization "should be light and avoid thick", generally start at the end of spring and stop at the end of autumn.

Fertilizer can be applied when the temperature is 18-25 ℃, once every 20 days, and a small amount of water is sprayed after fertilization to prevent the fertilizer from fouling the leaves.

VI. points for attention

1. A place away from the sun. Ink orchid can be placed in the east, south, west balcony for management, in which the east, west balcony cultivation effect is better, in the south balcony should avoid the sun is too strong. Because the height of Mo Lan is moderate, you can put it anywhere.

2. Turn the basin in time. There is also a limit to the ornamental value of orchids. The best viewing time is 5-7 years after planting. Without turning the pot, the ornamental value will decrease after 2 years, so it is necessary to turn the pot and change the soil in time.

How does Mulan reproduce?

Cymbidium is mainly propagated by ramets, which is carried out in March every spring. The methods are as follows:

First, when ramets to choose acidic soil rich in humus, orchid basin had better choose purple sand basin or plastic basin. Large plants that have been planted for about three to five years should be selected as breeding materials.

Second, the plant can not be watered a few days before, because the roots and leaves of the plant are fragile when there is sufficient water, and wilt and soften when there is no water, so it is less easy to be hurt and easy to operate.

Third, after dividing the plant, put the plant in the shade or under the eaves of the tree to avoid direct light. If some flower friends grow plants on the building, if there is an east-west balcony, put the plant on the east balcony, and those with north-south balcony put the plant on the north balcony.

4. The suitable temperature for the growth of Cymbidium is 20 ℃ and 28 ℃. If the temperature is lower than 20 ℃, it will grow slowly. If the temperature reaches 30 ℃, it will be forced to go into dormancy. The limit of low temperature tolerance of Melan is minus 2 ℃, so the temperature must be kept above minus 2 ℃ in winter.

Fifth, family breeding Mulan generally overwinters indoors, so the cold season in winter and spring does not need to use warming measures to make Mulan safely through the severe cold period. If some flower friends maintain the ink orchid in the leeward of the balcony or in the courtyard, they can use plastic film to build a temporary greenhouse.

Prevention and control of common diseases and insect pests in Cymbidium

1. White silk disease: generally, it is more likely to occur in a more humid environment. Clean up the soil with bacteria in time, remove the basin and check the decay in time, cut off the rotten part and disinfect it.

2. Black spot disease: it often occurs in high temperature and rainy season. It is found that there are dark brown spots on the leaves, which should be removed in time and ventilation should be strengthened.

Orchids have always been delicate, so breeding is not simple, so we must pay attention to the various elements in the growth environment when we breed the orchids, so as to ensure the normal growth of the orchids and maintain the beautiful and noble appearance of the orchids.
