When it comes to hazelnuts, we should all know that it is one of the nuts we often eat in our lives. It tastes hard and delicious, and is nutritious. It is loved and sought after by foodies. In fact, planting hazelnut tree is also a relatively high-benefit planting project, at the same time, its vitality is strong, very easy to grow. So how to plant hazelnut trees? Next, let's learn about it with the editor.

Planting methods and matters needing attention of hazelnut trees

1. Soil

Hazel tree has strong adaptability to soil, and can grow and fruit on light sandy soil, loam, light clay soil and light saline-alkali soil, but the most suitable soil is sandy loam. The thickness of the soil layer is more than 50 cm. It has strong adaptability to soil acid and alkaline soil, and can grow and bear fruit normally in the range of pH 5.5-8.0.

Planting depth: the root system should not bury the soil too deep or too shallow, and the root margin should be level with or slightly below the ground 5 cm after planting. It is appropriate to bury the soil at a depth of 6-10 cm above the rhizosphere. If the soil in the cave is loose, in order to prevent the soil in the cave.

2. Land preparation

Level the land before planting to remove trees, weeds, stones and other things. The land is ploughed to a depth of more than 20 centimeters. Fixed hole gauge

Hazelnut lattice, 70-100 cm in diameter and 60-70 cm deep. When digging the planting hole, the surface mature soil should be separated from the bottom soil, and during backfilling, the bottom soil should be mixed with organic fertilizer and evenly mixed and then returned to the lower part of the planting hole, and the surface mature soil would return to the upper part of the planting hole, and the hole preparation should be completed in the autumn of one year before planting.

3. Period

In order to improve the survival rate, planting in autumn is advocated. Generally from October to December, the Yellow River and Yangtze River basins should be from late February to early March, no later than mid-March at the latest. The planting of hazel trees must end before sprouting. If the seedlings are already sprouting and planting, the survival rate will decrease.

4. Planting

According to the variety planting plan, the seedlings are put into the prepared planting hole to stretch the root system, and pay attention to proofing, so that the root system is closely integrated with the soil. Then fill it with wet soil. When the filling is halfway up, gently lift the seedling up, while filling the soil, so that the root system is closely integrated with the soil. Then an irrigation tree plate is built around the seedling, with a diameter of 1 cm, which is convenient for irrigation and water storage. Water should be irrigated immediately after planting, and sufficient irrigation is required. After water infiltration, plastic film was applied to cover the tree plate to keep moisture and increase temperature, promote the root activity of seedlings and improve the survival rate.

5. Points for attention

According to the age of trees, the size of shrubs, the degree of soil fertility and the type of fertilizer, more organic fertilizer should be applied in barren sandy soil, and less organic fertilizer should be applied in the soil with deep soil layer and high humus content.

Generally, the amount of basal fertilizer applied to 2-3-year-old trees is 7-10 kg per tree, 30-40 kg per 4-5-year-old tree, and 50-60 kg per 6-7-year-old tree.

Where does the hazelnut tree grow?

The hazelnut tree is born in the shrub on the shady slope of the mountain at an altitude of 200-1000 meters. It has strong cold resistance and likes a humid climate.

Hazelnut trees are distributed in China (Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Hebei, Shanxi, Shaanxi, etc., cultivated in Jiangsu), Turkey, Italy, Spain, the United States, Korea, Japan, Russian East Siberia and the far East, and eastern Mongolia.

The hazelnut tree has borne fruit for several years

The general sexual propagation seedlings of hazelnut trees begin to bear fruit after 3-4 years, and the asexual hazel seedlings begin to bear fruit in 2-3 years, enter the full fruit stage in more than 7 years, and their plant life can reach more than 50 years.

Planting conditions of hazelnut

1. Temperature: different kinds of hazelnut trees have different requirements for temperature. Hazel prefers a warm and humid climate. The suitable average temperature is 13-15 ℃, the absolute lowest is-10 ℃, and the extremely high temperature is 38 ℃. Pingou hybrid is more cold-resistant than hazel, and is suitable for cultivation in the area with an average annual temperature of 7.5-13 ℃ and a minimum temperature of-30 ℃.

2. Lighting: hazelnut trees are light-loving plants, and annual sunshine hours are generally required to be more than 2100 hours, otherwise the flower bud formation is less and the yield is low.

3. Soil: hazelnut trees like to grow on fertile and well-ventilated sandy loam, especially Pingou hybrids have high requirements for soil, dry sand, clayey soil, swamp, saline land and low-lying land are not suitable to establish hazelnut garden. The soil pH value of Pingou hybrids is 6.5-7.5 and that of hazel is 5.5-7.

If you are still considering planting and starting a business, you might as well consider planting some hazelnut trees with strong adaptability, which can be planted by riversides, mountains and hilly lands. If they are generally cultivated artificially, they can bear fruit in 2-4 years. That is to say, obvious benefits can be seen in about 3 years.
