Cherry is a common fruit in our country. When it comes to the season of cherry listing every year, it will attract many people to buy it. Now there are many people who want to increase their economic benefits by planting cherry trees, so before planting, everyone must want to have a comprehensive understanding of its planting and management methods.

Planting and Management techniques of Cherry trees

First, planting:

1. Growth habits: according to relevant understanding, the adaptability of cherry trees is relatively strong, and they should be planted in neutral loam or sandy loam soil with leeward and sunny, fertile soil, no continuous cropping, no waterlogging, good drainage and irrigated conditions, which is more beneficial to the growth and development of cherry trees.

2. Planting time: in general, the best time to plant cherry trees is from November to early March of the following year, during which planting is more conducive to the growth and development of cherry trees and can effectively increase fruit yield, which is conducive to pruning and cleaning orchards in winter.

3. After the water of the undetermined planting ditch seeps, the soil can be planted when the soil is not sticky. Take the good point as the planting point, dig the planting hole, hold the trunk of the seedling by hand, stand the seedling in the middle of the hole, fill the soil to the rhizome, gently lift the seedling upward by hand to stretch the root system of the seedling, and then use your feet to cover the soil to the pit level. after planting, the grafting site should be level with or 5cm above the ground.

Second, management technology:

1. Before planting, cherry trees should apply autumn base fertilizer, at the same time, no later than November, ring fertilizer, human and animal urine, soil fertilizer can be applied. In general, young cherry trees and early fruit trees apply 30-60 kg of human and animal manure or 100 kg of manure, while mature trees apply 60-80 kg of human and animal feces or 200 kg of manure.

2. The topdressing time of cherry trees is before flowering or in the first rapid period of fruit, which is dominated by available nitrogen fertilizer, which can increase fruit setting rate, promote shoot growth and leaf hypertrophy, and lay a good foundation for flower bud differentiation. If 0.5% urea is sprayed 1-2 times in the early flowering stage, 0.5% boron fertilizer or 600 times potassium dihydrogen phosphate is added, the fruit setting rate can be increased more.

Pruning methods of Cherry trees

1. Branch thinning: after fruit picking, the upper dorsal branches that are too high and too dense and some of the fruit branches that are too dense are removed in time, and the inner chamber is opened (pay attention to the cultivation of inner chamber branchlets to prevent inner chamber baldness). The temporary fruiting branches, drooping branches, thin and weak branches and peripheral over-dense branches were removed, and 2-3 branches were left on the whorl branches to open the periphery, so that the branches were sparse and dense inside, evenly distributed, and well ventilated and transparent.

2. Retraction: all the fruiting branches that form bare legs should be retracted to the leaf buds to control the outward movement of the fruiting parts.

3. Coring: the inner bore branches retained in the early stage continue to be coring, and if there is room for the new shoots that germinate after retraction, 5-15cm can be left for repeated coring, and the small fruiting branches are cultivated, and the outer new shoots are cut short when they grow to about 40cm.

4. Erase buds: there is no space to erase the new buds that germinate after thinning, retraction and picking the heart.

How to water cherry trees

The main results are as follows: 1. Pre-anthesis water sprouting and before flowering (mid-March) to meet the water needs of germination, leaf expansion and flowering.

2. From the beginning of May to the middle of May, this period is the hard core period, and the hard core period is the most exuberant period of fruit growth and development. Insufficient water supply will affect the development of young fruits, and it is easy to drop flowers and fruits, so it is appropriate to irrigate enough water in this period and soak the soil 50cm.

3. The pre-harvest water from the middle of May to the end of May is the period of rapid expansion of fruit, and water has a great influence on fruit yield and quality. the principle of watering should be adopted in this time and watering should be controlled 10 days before harvest.

4. After the fruit is harvested with postharvest water, it can be fully irrigated combined with fertilization to promote tree recovery and flower bud differentiation.

How to fertilize cherry trees

The main results are as follows: 1. The first fertilization in a year should be completed within 10 days after fruit harvest, for tree growth, and the amount of fertilizer should not be too large. Each plant (about 10 years old) should be treated with 2 kg Nuobang bio-organic fertilizer plus 1 kg balanced compound fertilizer. Leaf spray Cuikang Fruit Ling 2000 times liquid fertilizer.

2. The second fertilizer was applied from September to October, during this period, the tree had strong life activity and strong ability to absorb nutrients, which was beneficial to delay the senescence of the tree, enhance the photosynthetic capacity, and store nutrients to lay the foundation for high yield in the coming year. The amount of fertilizer applied should account for 50%-60% of the annual amount, and each plant can apply 3 kg of Nuobangdilong bio-organic fertilizer, 2 kg of nitro-thio compound fertilizer, and 1 kg more of flowers and fruits. This fertilization should be ditched and applied at a depth of about 15cm to 20cm.

3. The third fertilizer was applied before the cherry blossoms in the following spring, mainly to supplement nitrogen fertilizer. During this period, cherry trees carried out a series of activities, such as flowering, long leaves, branching and so on, which consumed nutrients quickly. Some nutrients should be replenished appropriately, dried with Guocai No.1, and 2000 times of Cuikang Fruit Ling was sprayed on the leaves.

When planting cherries, we must first understand its growth habits, and then choose the appropriate time to plant. After planting, it is necessary to strengthen management, timely pruning and fertilizing water are very important. Only by doing this well can we ensure that it will grow better.
