Jujube is a common fruit tree in China. It likes to grow in a warm environment. Now there are a lot of people planting jujube in our country, and some people want to increase their economic benefits by planting it. However, before planting, many people want to have a comprehensive understanding of its planting method and time.

When will jujube seedlings be planted?

During the planting period, jujube trees can be planted in autumn and spring. They can be planted in areas where there is no severe cold in winter and the average temperature in January is not lower than-8 ℃. That is to say, the jujube tree is planted after falling leaves to the soil before freezing. In the jujube area south of the Yangtze River in China, the winter is relatively warm, the soil moisture is good, and the wound of the jujube root system can heal in the same year.

How to plant jujube trees

1. Nursery selection and soil preparation. The nursery should choose the sandy soil plot with flat terrain, convenient drainage and irrigation and fertile soil, and the nursery land should not be replanted. After applying enough base fertilizer, turn deeply, and repair the irrigation and drainage channels according to the trend of the water source. Low-bed cultivation is suitable for arid areas, and high-bed cultivation is suitable for places with more Rain Water.

2. Select seedlings. The seedlings with root tillers should be strictly selected to return to the nursery without diseases and insect pests such as madness and shell insects. The root tiller seedlings with a stem diameter of 0.4-0.6 cm are the best (the seedlings that are too thin or too thick have low emergence rate and poor growth after returning to the nursery). After strict selection, the root tillering seedlings were pruned, cut off and grow branches, branches or overlong roots, each plant retained a new shoot about 35 cm long, and the rest were cut off. Then the seedlings were graded according to the size of the seedlings, and pseudo-planting was carried out first.

3. Planting seedlings. After finishing the ground, dig a long longitudinal ditch, the length of the ditch can be determined according to the nursery, the width of the ditch is 30 cm, the depth of the ditch is 20 cm, and the distance between the ditch and the ditch is 60-70 cm. The pseudo-planted root tillers were taken out and planted in the ditch with a distance of about 30 cm and 3000-4000 plants per mu. Because jujube has secondary branches, large branch angle, and fast growth of root tiller seedlings, the density should not be too high, more than 4000 plants, then poor growth, closed branches and leaves, easy to suffer from jujube rust and other diseases. After the seedlings are planted, the soil is sealed, steady and irrigated.

4. Seedling management. After the seedlings are planted, cut off the aboveground part 2-3 cm from the ground, leave a strong bud after the basal buds germinate, erase the other buds, and then carry out weeding, topdressing, pest control and so on according to the conventional methods of raising seedlings. Generally, one year after returning to the nursery, the height of the seedling is about 1 meter, and when many new roots are grown, it can be planted out of the nursery.

How to protect flowers and fruits in jujube trees

1. To restrain vegetative growth, adjust the contradiction between growth and fruit, and promote fruit setting, such measures include root cutting, coring, sprouting, branch thinning, nail opening, ring cutting, cutting, fertilizer and water management, and so on. it can regulate the contradiction between nutrient distribution and operation between tree vegetative growth and flowering and fruit, improve tree nutrition level, and make more nutrients needed for flowers and fruits.

2. Spraying water at flowering stage can increase the air humidity, and the air humidity during flowering period is not less than 60% to 70%, otherwise it will be affected. The effect of spraying water in the evening or morning is good, generally combined with foliar fertilizer spraying 0.3% 0.5% urea.

3. Release bees in jujube orchard and increase pollination medium. some jujube varieties are self-pollination and some are cross-pollination. Intra-variety pollination or inter-variety pollination can set fruit well, and the effect of increasing pollination media is good.

4. Spraying plant hormones and trace elements, mainly gibberellin, 2.4 Mel D, paclobutrazol, dwarf, B9, indolebutyric acid, indole acetic acid, acetic acid, borax, boric acid and so on.

Soil, Fertilizer and Water Management of Jujube

The main results are as follows: 1. After thawing, the soil was turned deeply within 2m around the jujube tree to improve the soil ventilation. If you loosen the soil and weed in time, it is easy to turn shallow in spring and deep in autumn.

2. Base fertilizer was applied before freezing at the end of autumn, and topdressing fertilizer was applied before sprouting in spring. Generally, fresh jujube with 50kg per plant was applied with crude fertilizer 100kg or 1.5kg of nitrogen and phosphorus, and mixed furrow application of potassium fertilizer 0.5kg. When applying fertilizer, a 40 × 40cm annular ditch was dug 1.5 m away from the trunk to apply fertilizer. Urea 0.5-1kg was applied to each plant by radiation furrow method at flowering stage and young fruit growth stage.

3. Where there are irrigation conditions, irrigate before flowering, fruit setting and fruit expansion in time before winter.

Jujube trees are usually planted in autumn or spring, and it is best not to plant them in winter. When planting jujube trees, we must do a good job of soil preparation before planting. The management after planting is also the key to ensure its growth, and it should be watered and fertilized timely.
