Last Updated: 2024/09/16, The growth cycle of pineapple is about 3-4 years, and there are four harvest seasons, spring fruit is picked from April to May, summer fruit is picked from June to July, autumn fruit is picked from October to November, and winter fruit is picked from December to January of next year. But pineapple is a cross-pollinated plant, which is easy to grow and unsuitable for fruit.

The growth cycle of pineapple is about 3-4 years, and there are 4 harvest seasons, spring fruit is picked from April to May, summer fruit is picked from June to July, autumn fruit is picked from October to November, winter fruit is picked from December to January. However, pineapple is a cross-pollinated plant, easy to plant, the results are not appropriate, so in planting a few kinds of, lest pineapple flowering without pollinated plants, can not bear fruit.

The growing cycle of pineapple is about 3-4 years, and it can be planted in 4 years and 3 years or 2 years. Pineapple generally has four harvest seasons, April to May mature for spring fruit; June to July mature for summer fruit, also known as fruit; October to November mature for autumn fruit, December to January mature for winter fruit.

Pineapple planting precautions

Pineapple crown part of the growth point, in the water is easier to root, so it is easier to plant up or survive, but pineapple belongs to cross-pollinated plants, in planting as many as possible a few, so pineapple in flowering after the fruit may be possible. If only one pineapple is planted and there are no plants to pollinate, the pineapple will certainly not bear fruit.

Pineapple cultivation methods

1, double line

Double-row single plant planting, the width of the ridge and furrow is 1.5m in total, which is conducive to the outward expansion of roots. The row spacing of plants planted on the ridge will be more uniform, the stem base will be squeezed against each other, and the leaves can be extended into hemispherical surfaces. It can fully utilize sunlight, and it is easy to form a "self-shade" environment between rows. The number of weeds in the furrow will be reduced, which is convenient for daily management.

Pineapple planting ditch width control in 1m-1.1m, small row spacing control in 40- 50cm, plant spacing according to different planting density adjustment, general planting density of 3500-4000 plants/mu, plant spacing control in 20cm, planting density in 4500 plants/mu, plant spacing control in 15cm best.

2, three rows of single plant arrangement

The width of ridge and furrow is 1.7m, the width of ridge surface is 1.2m, the small row spacing is controlled at about 35- 40cm, and the row spacing of plants is adjusted according to different planting densities, mostly at about 20- 25cm. With this planting mode, the individual nutrient area of pineapple plants is more uniform.

3, four lines

2m wide ridge shall be adopted, planting shall be carried out according to wide and narrow row arrangement, with wide row of 1m, ditch width of 0.5 m, narrow row of 0.5 m and ditch width of 0.2 m. The plant spacing on the formed small ridge surface shall be controlled at about 25cm, and the planting density shall be controlled at 4500-5000 plants/mu.

According to the planting mode, furrows are arranged on the ridges, after the pineapple plants are sealed, the small furrows can be used for water conservation and drainage, which is beneficial to the growth of pineapple roots; the wide row spacing is convenient for artificial planting management; the probability that the leaves on both sides of the narrow row spacing are artificially damaged is small, and the probability that the leaves are damaged by frost is also reduced; generally, large fruits are obtained by planting in the two rows; attention should be paid to timely drainage and irrigation of the orchard during planting to prevent waterlogging and drought; Make sure the pineapple grows properly.

Daily management matters

Under the premise of not affecting fruit growth and development, proper bud removal and bud retention are carried out on fruit trees, flower induction and fruit spraying are carried out in due time to achieve the purposes of promoting flowers and improving fruit weight and quality. After all florets wither, 50 mg/L gibberellin plus 0.5% urea solution is sprayed on fruits, and 70 mg/L gibberellin plus 0.3% urea solution is sprayed after 20 days.

When the fruit is mature, 300 mg/L ethephon is sprayed on the fruit to accelerate ripening, so as to ensure that the fruit ripens uniformly.
