Pomegranate planting time
When planting pomegranate, we must master the growth habits and growth characteristics of pomegranate. Pomegranate trees are suitable for growing in a sunny, warm and humid environment, and the soil should be fertile and loose, the drainage performance should be good, and pomegranate trees are resistant to drought, cold and waterlogging. If it is planted in spring, it should be planted in March-April, and if it is planted in autumn, it should be planted with larger seedlings.
Matters needing attention in planting pomegranate trees
1. Pomegranate trees are suitable for growing in warm places, but the requirements for the soil are not high. The soil quality should be thicker, the PH value of the soil is between 4.5m and 8.2m, the underground water level is below 1m, the lowest temperature for growth should not be lower than minus 17 ℃, and the total temperature should be above 10 ℃.
2. in general, base fertilizer should be applied after fruit picking in autumn. fertilization in autumn is helpful to the continued differentiation of flower buds, and it is also helpful for pomegranate trees to hoard and store nutrients before defoliation, so as to increase the proportion of normal pomegranate flowers. so increase the yield.
3. When the pomegranate tree is undernourished, it must be fertilized in time. In order to ensure the normal growth and nutrient demand of pomegranate trees, available nitrogen fertilizer is usually applied before flowering in mid-early May, and then used together with phosphate fertilizer. In order to promote the rapid growth of young fruit and the formation of flower bud, it is necessary to apply compound fertilizer K, N, P in the early stage of fruit growth and the expansion stage of young fruit. It is also necessary to fertilize the outside of the heel many times during the growing period.
4. In the process of pomegranate tree growth, special attention should be paid to four periods of water requirement, namely, sprouting water, post-anthesis water, fruit-promoting water and freezing water. Pomegranate trees are resistant to drought and waterlogging, so it is necessary to do a good job in drainage. If the pomegranate plantation has good drainage, convenient irrigation in dry season and smooth drainage in waterlogging season, it is beneficial to the production of high quality pomegranate.
