When planting Osmunda, we need to choose the shady sloping land where the soil is moist, and in the later stage, we need to combine deep ploughing to improve the soil quality, the temperature needs to be controlled at about 10 °to 25 °, the growth will stop when the temperature is higher than 30 °, and the density should be controlled reasonably when planting. Later nursing needs regular watering, not too much, keeping the soil moist, timely drainage in rainy season, regular ploughing and weeding, and regular fertilization. You can build a shed for shade and so on.

1. Planting site selection

Osmunda has a strong ability to adapt to the environment, but it has high requirements for the growth environment. The general growth temperature of Osmunda is about 9 to 28 degrees, and it will stop growing when it is higher than 30 degrees. Secondly, there are certain requirements for moisture, like moist, not drought-resistant, planting soil needs to be rich in humus, acidic, loose and solid, it is best to be located in the semi-overcast and semi-sunny area or have a certain shade. After selecting the planting land, we also need to combine deep ploughing with fertilization to improve the soil quality, generally dominated by rotten farm manure, and finally open ditches to make beds for planting.

2. Planting mode

The planting methods of Osmunda are hole sowing and strip sowing, the distance between each hole is about 30cm and 45cm, while the distance between each row is about 42cm, and the distance between each plant is about 35cm. When planting, we should pay attention to that there are at least two to three seedlings per hole, and the planting density is about 4,000 to 6,000 per mu. Reasonable control of planting density is beneficial to the economic value of Osmunda in the later stage.

3. Planting method

There are two planting methods of Vicki. The first is spore reproduction, which is usually collected around the end of May, and then put the seeds in a suitable environment to promote germination. After most of the spores sprout and differentiate, they can be sown. The second is split-plant propagation, which is relatively simple. Generally, the ramet can be dug up the day before planting, and it should be noted that digging out the subsoil together with the base soil will help to improve the survival rate.

4. Late nursing care

Osmunda is suitable for growing in a humid environment. After planting, we need regular watering to keep the soil moist, but we also need to control water and should not be too large, otherwise it will lead to root rot. In the rainy season, we should drain water in time to ensure the normal growth of Osmunda. Vicki seedlings about half a month after a ploughing and weeding, which can reduce the loss of nutrients, but also improve the permeability of the soil, so as to promote nutrient absorption and improve its growth rate.

Note: in the later stage, we also need regular and reasonable fertilization, in order to reasonably control the daily light, we also need to build a shading shed, which is conducive to the growth of Osmunda. Osmunda can normally grow to about 70 to 100 centimeters, but it is generally not harvested at that time and needs to be harvested in the coming year. Harvesting needs to be carried out in batches, and topdressing is needed after harvest, which can improve the yield and quality of Vicki. Pay attention to Osmunda after harvest, in order to avoid plant aging, it is necessary to cover the shade cloth in time.
