Seed selection: plum trees include President, Oderoda, Black Tiger and other varieties, which should be selected according to the specific conditions of the planting area. Planting: when planting, it should be able to ensure the planting of superior seedlings, and pollination trees should be configured when planting. Soil and fertilizer management: to create a relatively deep soil layer for plum trees, but also properly apply fruit-picking fertilizer, pre-flowering fertilizer, strong fruit fertilizer and other fertilizers to plum trees.

I. selection of species

There are many kinds of plum trees, such as President, Oderoda, Black Tiger, and so on. The seed selection of plum trees should be carried out appropriately according to local conditions.

1. The president is a relatively late-maturing variety, with large fruit, round fruit, dark purple skin and yellow pulp. The president variety is fleshy and resistant to transportation, but pollination trees must be prepared during cultivation.

2. Oderoda is an American variety, and its fruit usually ripens in late July. The face of the fruit is deep red and the flesh is golden yellow. Oderoda is sweet and delicious, resistant to storage and transportation, and has good productivity.

3. Heihuopo is a variety bred in the United States. the fruit ripens in late July, the fruit is sweet, the quality is high, and the edible rate can reach 90%.

II. Colonization

1. Plum trees should be graded according to quality before planting to ensure that excellent seedlings are planted, and the roots of seedlings should be intact and healthy, free from diseases and insect pests.

2. Because the fruit setting rate of plums is relatively low, pollination trees must be configured when planting.

III. Soil and fertilizer management

The main results are as follows: 1. the plum tree has a strong ability to adapt to the soil, whether it is acidic soil or alkaline soil. Generally, the soil layer is deep, and the loose and fertile soil is beneficial to the growth and development of plum trees.

2. Intercropping beans and vegetables between the rows of young trees is more suitable. If the soil layer is shallow or the soil is barren, you can interplant Artemisia mandshurica or Vicia faba in autumn, and then plough all of them into the soil in the first ten days of April of the next year. Thus create a relatively deep fertile soil layer for plum trees.

IV. Fertilization

1. Plum trees should apply three kinds of fertilizers: fruit-picking fertilizer, pre-flowering fertilizer and strong fruit fertilizer. Fruit-picking fertilizer is generally applied from July to August after fruit-picking, and fruit-picking fertilizer accounts for 60% of the total fertilizer application in the whole year.

2. The main fruit-picking fertilizers are green manure, soil manure and mature human and animal manure. The purpose of applying fruit fertilizer is to restore the tree potential, so as to promote the differentiation of flower buds and control the defoliation at flowering stage.

3. Pre-anthesis fertilizer is applied during the sprouting of buds in spring, accounting for 10% of the total amount of fertilizer applied throughout the year. Pre-anthesis fertilizer is mainly based on quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer, which aims to promote the flowering and leaf development of plum trees.

4. The strong fruit fertilizer is the fertilizer applied during the hard core period when the fruit forms the core. The strong fruit fertilizer accounts for 30% of the total amount of fertilizer applied in the whole year, and the strong fruit fertilizer is mainly rotten compost. The aim is to promote the expansion of fruit and prepare sufficient nutrients for flower bud differentiation of plum trees.
