The planting time and method of Polygonum multiflorum, the time of each breeding method is different.
The planting methods of Polygonum multiflorum include seed propagation, cuttage propagation, striping propagation and block propagation. Seed propagation: the seeds were collected in autumn and sown from March to early July of the following year. Cuttings propagation: every year from March to April or autumn in October. Striping propagation: suitable for spring and summer. Block propagation: when Polygonum multiflorum was harvested, the tuber roots with stems were selected to be ventilated and dried and planted.
The efficacy and nutrition of Polygonum multiflorum are very high. Its root tuber is used in medicine, which can calm the mind, nourish blood, activate collaterals, detoxify and detumescence. Polygonum multiflorum can tonify essence and blood, black hair, strengthen muscles and bones, tonify liver and kidney.
The planting methods of Polygonum multiflorum include seed propagation, cuttage breeding, strip propagation, block propagation and so on. The time of each method is different. This paper introduces the specific planting methods of Polygonum multiflorum and the corresponding planting time of each method.
I. selection of land and land preparation
Plant on the hillside or in the scattered land behind the house, choose sandy soil with good drainage, loose and fertile soil, apply farm manure 30000kg per hectare, turn deeply and flatten it, and make a bank with a width of 120cm-150cm.
2. Time and method of reproduction
Polygonum multiflorum multiflorum can be propagated by seed propagation, cuttage breeding, strip propagation, block propagation and so on.
1. Seed propagation
The main results are as follows: (1) when harvesting vines in November in autumn, the seeds are collected, dried and placed in a ventilated and dry place.
(2) sowing seeds from early March to early July in the coming year, dig a deep trench of 15cm-20cm where the row is apart from 3cm, spread the seeds evenly into the ditch, cover the soil with 1cm, and water immediately after compaction.
(3) the seedlings emerge in about half a month, and the seedlings should be transplanted or fixed when they reach 10cm-12cm, the distance between each plant is 15cm-20cm, and the sowing amount per hectare is 22.5kg-30kg.
(4) Polygonum multiflorum by seed propagation, its seedling growth is slow, when the seedling grows above 30cm, it begins to grow rapidly, the root becomes thicker, but its growth cycle is slightly longer.
2. Cuttings propagation
The main results are as follows: (1) in the rainy season of March to April or August or October in autumn, select the sturdy stem and cut it into a 15cm-20cm section. It should be noted that there should be more than two nodes on each cutting. the upper node should have leaves, and the rest should not have leaves.
(2) in the finished border, according to the row bead spacing 20cm × 15cm, dig a small hole of 5cm-10cm, insert the he Shou ebony vine into the small hole, compacted and watered.
(3) Polygonum multiflorum which is cut in spring and summer can grow new roots in about 10 days, and those inserted in autumn will take root in the following spring.
(4) the cuttage propagation of Polygonum multiflorum has the advantages of fast rooting, high survival rate, short planting years and more caking, which is generally used in production.
3. Striping propagation
In spring and summer, the sturdy branches near the ground were selected for wavy striping, and the 3cm was buried around the cover, and then cut and planted after rooting.
4. Block propagation
When Polygonum multiflorum is harvested, choose small roots or large roots with stems to be cut into several pieces, each with 2-3 bud holes, then coat the cut with plant ash or leave it in a cool and ventilated place for 1-2 days. Wait until the incision has a healing layer before planting.
3. Planting
When planting from March to May, leave the stem segment around 20cm of the stem, cut off the adventitious root and small potato pieces together with others, the row spacing of each plant is 20cm-25cm, the hole spacing is 12cm-15cm, cover soil 3cm, and water after compaction, so that Polygonum multiflorum can produce high yield during harvest.
IV. Field management
1. Watering and drainage
Watering: replenish water a few days before sowing, water once a day before germination and once every three days after germination, and often keep the soil moist during the seedling stage, which is conducive to the survival of seedlings.
Drainage: after rain, stagnant water will occur in the field, which should be removed in time.
2. Weeding and topdressing
(1) weeding and topdressing 2-3 times a year during the growth period.
(2) in the early stage of flowering from May to June, cake fertilizer 750kg was applied per hectare, phosphorus and potassium fertilizer was mainly applied from October to November, calcium superphosphate 375kg and potassium chloride 375kg were applied per hectare.
3. Erection and pruning
The main results are as follows: (1) after the seedlings survive, when the stems grow to about 30cm, it is necessary to put up the vines with the help of branches, bamboo poles and other things, or they can plant tall stalk crops such as corn in the field without setting up vines.
(2) if the stem vine is too long, part of the vine should be cut off in July, which can ventilate and penetrate the light and make the root grow healthily.
(3) only one vine is needed for each plant, and the excess seedlings should be cut off, and the branches should be kept above 1m, which is beneficial to the ventilation and light transmission of the lower layer of the plant. If the plant is growing vigorously, it is necessary to make a proper entry.
(4) Field production should be pruned 5-6 times a year.
4. Pick flowers
To remove the plants that need to keep the seeds of Polygonum multiflorum, the excess buds should be removed from May to June to prevent the dispersion of nutrients, thus affecting the growth of root tubers.
