Plots: flat land with fertile and deep, leeward to the sun, convenient transportation and good drainage and irrigation, or gently sloping land or high ridge paddy field should be planted. Seedling cultivation: sowing before the Beginning of Spring, transplanting in the seedling bed from May to early June, and bud grafting from late November to the end of February of the following year. Planting time: dig holes before early April, return to pond before early May, and plant in early June. Planting requirements: about 64 plants per mu.

I. Lemon planting conditions

1. Planting plots

The main results are as follows: (1) Lemon is a semi-negative plant, which is warm and shady and not cold-tolerant. It originates from the lower layer of tropical forest and is suitable for growing in subtropical areas which are warm in winter and cool in summer.

(2) it belongs to shrub small tree, the branch growth is irregular, and the planting is strict to water conservancy and soil.

(3) it is usually planted in flat land, gentle slope land or high ridge paddy field where the soil is fertile and deep, leeward to the sun, convenient for transportation and good for drainage and irrigation, and the elevation is 800-1200m and the slope is below 30 °.

2. Seedling cultivation

The main results are as follows: (1) the rootstocks cultivated by seedlings generally choose wild sour rafters, Fructus Aurantii, red orange and so on.

(2) the Beginning of Spring should sow seeds before sowing and transplant seedlings in the first ten days of May-June, during which water and fertilizer management and pest control should be done well.

(3) when the stem of the rootstock grows to about 0.4cm in late November, it can be grafted, and weeds can be eliminated before grafting.

(4) from late November to the end of February of the following year, embedded bud grafting was used to select 1 or 2 strong main branches. The stem reached the height of strong seedling and large seedling 40cm, and the thickness was above 0.8cm as the standard, so as to erase the excess shoots and promote the regeneration of bud shoots.

3. Planting time

The main results are as follows: (1) Lemon is an evergreen fruit tree, which can be planted freely in four seasons, and the planting time can be changed as long as the rhizome is not excessively damaged.

(2) therefore, according to the growth law of lemon, we found that the best planting time of lemon is about the beginning of March.

(3) to select the planting site during this period, we should dig holes to plant lemon seedlings before the first ten days of April, return to the pond before the first ten days of May, and finish planting from the first ten days of June to the end of June.

4. Planting requirements

The main results are as follows: (1) the planting method and density of lemon are different from those of other tall fruit trees. Lemon belongs to small trees, according to the row spacing of 3.0m and 80 × 70 × 60cm.

(2) when planting according to the standard of 64 trees per mu, level the sloping land, pay attention to the separate stacking of topsoil and raw soil when digging the pond, the raw soil is useless, return to the 30cm thick ripe soil when returning to the pond, apply 30-50kg base fertilizer after returning to the soil, and mix the soil well.

(3) cover a layer of 10cm thick mature soil, add 0.5-1kg compound fertilizer or phosphate fertilizer, and finally return the soil more than 1 30cm to make a tree plate, which is 20-30cm higher than Tangkou.

(4) flat planting in mountainous and sandy areas and pier planting in low barrier areas. Strong seedlings with good growth should be selected, stable fertilizer should be used as base fertilizer, about 30-50kg should be applied in each pond, mixed phosphate fertilizer or compound fertilizer 0.25-0.5kg should be mixed and returned to the pond.

(5) to achieve fine planting, if you pay attention to the direct contact with fine roots during fertilization, there will be obvious root burning phenomenon.

(6) before planting, it is necessary to cut off the tender branches and leaves of lemon seedlings, remove the dry branches and leaves that are too dense, plant in rainy days and irrigate enough water to keep the soil moist, and release the film 2-3 months after survival.

II. Points for attention

1. If citrus fruit trees are planted within 500 meters of lemon orchard, they will cross with flowers, resulting in a decrease in lemon quality.

2. Avoid planting lemons, such as sorghum, rice, etc., or lemon crops in high-stem crops.

3. It is advisable to plant some dwarf crops, such as soybeans, peanuts, etc., in the lemon planting land, but not vine crops unless rotation.

4. Advocating beekeeping in lemon orchards is beneficial to increase fruit setting rate and increase yield and benefit.
