Seed selection: select high-quality pepper varieties with disease resistance, high yield and strong adaptability. Seedling tray: the seedling tray with about 72 seedling holes should be selected. Soil: use plant ash, vermiculite with tasteless chicken manure and organic fertilizer, stir to configure nutritious soil. Seed treatment: soak in warm water after drying the seeds, and finally accelerate germination and sow seeds. Sowing preparation: the seedling tray needs to be disinfected and the sowing time is from mid-January to early February. Sowing management: pay attention to heat preservation and anti-freezing, and do a good job of watering and fertilization.

I. selection of pepper varieties

Pepper seeds should choose pepper varieties with strong disease resistance, high yield, strong ability to adapt to the environment and good commercial properties.

Second, the selection of seedling tray

Generally, the size of the seedling tray is 54cm × 28cm, and the number of seedlings needed is calculated according to the actual situation. There are usually about 72 seedling holes on the tray.

3. The soil of the seedling tray

Plant ash, vermiculite and perlite were used as the most basic raw materials, then tasteless chicken manure and organic fertilizer were used to prepare nutritious soil. The ratio of urea, potassium dihydrogen phosphate, chicken manure or cow manure, peat, vermiculite and perlite was 1 ∶ 0.6 ∶ 7 ∶ 70 ∶ 23.

IV. Seed treatment

1. The pepper seeds used for raising seedlings should be sunned for 2-3 days, and then soaked in 55 ℃ warm water for about 15 minutes. The seeds can also be soaked in 1% copper sulfate solution for 5 minutes or 10% trisodium phosphate solution for 20-30 minutes. After soaking, rinse the excess medicine solution with clean water.

2. Soak the seeds in warm water of about 30 ℃ for another week, then accelerate germination at a temperature of 25 ℃-30 ℃ for about 3-4 days, or in a thermostat, and wait for 70% of the seeds to start whitening.

Fifth, preparation before sowing

1. The seedling tray should be arranged neatly, and then the seedling tray should be disinfected. If the reused seedling tray needs to be disinfected with 0.3% potassium permanganate solution, the disinfection solution should be dried and filled with culture soil, and the height of the culture soil should be consistent with the height of the plane of the seedling tray.

2. Press 5 or 10 seedling holes as a group, press to the distance between the nursery hole culture soil and the seedling plate plane 1cm, put the pressed seedling model neatly on the seedling bed, pour enough bottom water, and wait for the appropriate time to sow seeds.

Raising seedlings and sowing seeds

Pepper seeds are generally sown from mid-January to early February. 2-3 pepper seeds are placed in each seedling hole, then covered with culture soil, sprayed with a small amount of water and covered with a layer of plastic film.

7. Sowing management

1. Temperature management

When 30% of the pepper seeds emerge, the film should be opened in time and properly ventilated and transparent. The temperature should be kept at 28 ℃-32 ℃ during the day and 16 ℃-18 ℃ at night, while the temperature should be basically stabilized above 15 ℃ in late March. Temperature and anti-freezing treatment should be carried out in time in the evening of cooling or frost, so as to prevent the pepper seedlings from being damaged.

2. Water management

(1) in the cotyledon and root expansion stage of pepper seedlings, the relative humidity of the culture soil should be reduced to 80%, which can increase the ventilation of the culture soil.

(2) in the growth period of true leaves of pepper, the amount of water applied should be increased according to the growth of seedlings.

(3) in the seedling stage of pepper, the amount of water applied to the plant should be reduced to make the plant more robust.

(4) watering cannot be carried out under the condition of insufficient light in overcast and rainy weather.

(5) Pepper seedlings cannot be watered after three o'clock in the afternoon.

(6) the pepper seedlings growing on the edge of the seedling plate should pay attention to rehydration.

3. Fertilization management

There is no topdressing in the seedling stage of pepper. If there is a lack of fertilizer, 1g/kg urea solution or potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution can also be sprayed on the leaves of pepper seedlings.
