Seedling and cultivation techniques of oil peony, seedling and sowing from August to October
Selection of nursery land: the sandy soil with high topography, good drainage condition, loose soil and fertile soil is selected as the nursery land. Soaking seeds to promote germination: the seeds were soaked in about 50 ℃ of warm water for about 2 days, mixed with a small amount of plant ash to sow. Sowing at the right time: the sowing time is from August to October, and seeds are mostly used to propagate. Planting method: when sowing, the amount of soil water should be about 70%. The flat garden can use strip sowing method, and cover the film immediately after covering the soil.
First, nursery land selection and land preparation
The main results are as follows: 1. Peony seedlings should be selected in higher terrain, good drainage conditions, loose soil, fertile sandy soil, easy drainage and water conservation soil as nursery land, which is not suitable for saline-alkali, low-lying, sticky and repeated cropping plots.
2. There should be a certain planting distance between the nursery and the peony planting land in order to avoid spreading and infecting diseases and insect pests.
3. After selecting the nursery land, ploughing and deep ploughing should be carried out, leveling, ditching and making beds to facilitate drainage, and deep ploughing should be carried out one month in advance, with a depth of about 50 centimeters.
4. Generally carried out on a sunny day, it can promote soil ripening through exposure, as well as killing eggs and germs.
5. Before ploughing, about 1500 kg of rotten stable fertilizer should be applied per mu, 50 kg of compound fertilizer should be used as base fertilizer, and mixed fungicide and soil insecticidal should be applied together.
Second, soaking seeds to accelerate germination
1. Before sowing, remove the shrunken seeds and impurities, and then soak them in warm water of about 50 ℃ for about 2 days, which can not only remove the unsubstantial seeds that float, but also leave the full seeds for sowing, and can also soften the skin, absorb water and expand, which is conducive to germination.
2. After soaking seeds, a small amount of plant ash should be mixed to sow seeds, which is helpful to improve germination and emergence.
3. If the seeds are not sowed in time after soaking, the seeds should be buried in the sand for about 20 days at most, and the seeds must be sowed.
Third, sow seeds at the right time
1. The sowing time of oil peony is from August to October, the middle and lower reaches of the Yellow River are generally from the end of August to the first ten days of September, and the Tongling area is generally propagated by seeds in the middle and last ten days of September. The emergence rate is generally about 80%, and the highest rate is more than 90%.
2. Its seeds have the characteristics of Hypocotyl dormancy, which can only produce young roots at room temperature after sowing in autumn, and need to go through the low temperature in winter to complete the dormancy change until the next spring germination.
3. If the ground temperature of sowing is low or the sowing time is late, plastic film should be covered after sowing, otherwise it will not take root and sprout in the same year.
IV. Planting methods
1. The soil water content of oil peony seedlings should be about 70% when sowing, and it can be sown by adding water according to the specific situation.
2. The method of strip sowing can be used in the garden where the terrain is relatively flat, with a spacing of about 30 cm, a width of about 10 cm and a depth of 8 cm.
3. Cover the soil with plastic film immediately, and cover the soil with 2cm or so to keep enough water to promote seed germination.
4. After being planted for about a month, it will sprout and grow into radicles. The seedlings will be unearthed around the end of February of the second year, and the young leaves will unfold after about 15 days.
V. late-stage management
1. About 30 days after sowing, the seeds will take root and sprout, and the young roots can grow to about 10 cm before the beginning of winter.
2. If it is dry in winter, cover straw or thatch in time to protect overwintering.
3. After the seeds were released from dormancy of Hypocotyl in late February and early March, the seedlings began to germinate.
4. The seedlings are suitable for growing under shade, and some measures can be taken to build shade and so on.
5. In the later stage of growth, the weeding should be carried out in time to prevent soil consolidation.
6. topdressing should be carried out in time, generally with rotten human feces, urine or rapeseed cake, combined with appropriate amount of urea and compound fertilizer, should not be overapplied, and should be fully diluted before use.
7. Drainage should be carried out in time on cloudy and rainy days to prevent stagnant water from causing rotten roots of seedlings.
8. Summer drought should be watered in time, and it can also be covered with straw to reduce surface temperature, reduce water loss and play a role in drought resistance.
VI. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests
The main results are as follows: 1. The temperature begins to rise in spring, and the temperature is about 25 ℃. During this period, the growth rate of seedlings is faster, so fungal diseases should be prevented in advance.
2. Fungicides, growth promoters and foliar fertilizers can be mixed or used alone. It can be eaten for about 3 times in the period from March to April, and the effect is better.
