The planting method and time of parsley can be planted in spring, summer and autumn
There are two planting methods of parsley: direct seeding and seedling transplanting. The planting time varies according to different seasons. Spring: sowing in January-March, planting in March-April and harvesting in May-July in northern areas. Summer: planting in June and early July in the south and north, harvesting in August and September. Autumn: sowing in June to early July, planting in August to early September, harvesting in October to November in northern China.
Celery belongs to Umbelliferae, long-term consumption of celery, especially celery leaves, to prevent hypertension, arteriosclerosis has a very effective role.
1. Small celery planting method
1. Direct seeding
(1) There are two ways to plant small parsley, one is to use the seeds of small parsley for direct seeding, and the other is to transplant seedlings.
(2) When sowing in summer, the seeds should be treated before planting. Soak the seeds in water for 4-6 hours. Warm water at 20℃-25℃ can be used. Let the seeds fully absorb enough water to keep them moist. After soaking, remove a layer of gauze and hang them on the water surface in a cool place. Or put them in the refrigerator for 3-4 days. At this time, most of the small celery seeds can be broadcast when they begin to show white.
(3) After sowing, it is best to cover a layer of sunshade net for small celery, which can be removed after seedling emergence, and planted when the seedling grows to about 16cm.
2. Cultivation containers
Small celery is usually planted on balconies, rooftops, living rooms or courtyards. Flower pots, wooden pots, professional cultivation boxes or foam plastic boxes can be selected as cultivation containers. The planting depth is usually 15cm-20cm.
3. Growth cycle
It takes about 3 months from sowing time to harvest time of small parsley, and the growth cycle is long. When harvesting, it should wait until the seedling height of small parsley is about 40-50cm. The seedling duration is about 1 month, and the harvest can be carried out about 2 months after planting.
4. Temperature
Parsley likes cool and fears heat. The optimum temperature for growth is 15-20℃. When the temperature exceeds 26℃, it is not conducive to growth and development, and it will damage quality.
5. Light
Small parsley is more tolerant to shade, pay attention to shade before emergence, remove shade in late emergence, and supplement proper light for small parsley.
6. Water
Small parsley root shallow and underdeveloped, and not drought, because of its leaves evaporation of water, need regular watering to keep the soil moist.
7. Management technology
(1) Soil is very important for the good growth of small celery. It is best to choose fertile, loose, slightly acidic soil with drainage and ventilation.
(2) In order to meet the basic growth needs, it is necessary to irrigate and topdressing for small celery in the growth period. In summer, it is necessary to irrigate once a day in the morning and once every 2-4 weeks.
(3) Seedbed should be high, pay attention to 6 rows when transplanting seedlings, keep 30cm interval, row spacing 40cm-45cm.
Second, small celery planting time
1. Spring parsley
Sowing in January to March, planting in March to April and harvesting in May to July in northern areas.
2. Summer parsley
Planting in June and early July and harvesting in August and September in southern and northern regions.
3. Autumn parsley
Sowing in June to early July, planting in August to early September and harvesting in October to November in northern China.
