Soil: rotten leaf soil, pastoral soil, river sand and cake fertilizer can be used to form nutritious soil, disinfect the soil before entering the basin, and pour water thoroughly after entering the basin. Environment: hydrangea flowers prefer yin to yang and should be placed in a cool and ventilated place. Watering: water more in spring and summer to keep the basin soil moist, and spray water appropriately in autumn and winter. Fertilization: organic fertilizer can be applied every half a month, and more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied during flower bud differentiation and bud formation. Note: cut off diseased and withered branches around March in spring.

I. the method of cultivating hydrangea

1. Select soil

When planting hydrangea flowers in flowerpots, rotten leaf soil: pastoral soil: river sand: cake fertilizer is 4: 3: 2: 1, and then mixed into nutritious soil. The soil should be sterilized before it is put into the pot, and it should be watered thoroughly after it is put on the pot.

2. Cool ventilation

Hydrangea likes Yin but does not like Yang, so when breeding, it should be placed in a cool and ventilated place, and it can be placed in astigmatism in winter. In other seasons, before the sun comes out completely every morning, move out to bathe in the sun, because there is no light for a long time, it will also cause Hydrangea flower growth and development retardation.

3. Watering method

More watering should be carried out in spring and summer to keep the basin soil moist, especially in the high temperature period in summer, one watering should be carried out in the morning and evening, and appropriate shade should be given at noon, during which there is no need to water. During the dry period of autumn and winter, it is necessary to spray hydrangea flowers properly. They are generally dormant in winter and can be sprayed properly, but should not be over-watered to avoid breaking the dormancy period of hydrangea flowers.

4. Appropriate amount of fertilizer

In the process of cultivating hydrangea, it is necessary to apply organic fertilizer every 15 days or so, more nitrogen fertilizer can be applied in the early growth stage, more phosphorus and potassium fertilizer can be applied in the stage of flower bud differentiation and flower bud formation, and appropriate amount of fertilizer can be applied according to different stages. in this way, hydrangea will grow more luxuriantly.

II. Matters needing attention in cultivating hydrangea

1. Proper ventilation

When cultivating hydrangea indoors, you should often open doors and windows for ventilation, and you can also move them to the balcony for breeding for a period of time, so as to avoid all kinds of diseases and insect pests caused by long-term lack of indoor air circulation, especially during the thunderstorm in summer. More ventilation is needed.

2. Acid soil

To choose suitable soil for cultivation, hydrangea likes acidic soil. If it is cultured in alkaline soil, it will lead to poor growth and development of hydrangea, resulting in yellowing or even withering leaves.

3. Spring pruning

Around March in spring, the hydrangea should be pruned, during which the diseased branches, withered branches and thin branches should be cut off, and 3-5 strong main branches should be kept short, with about 3 branches and buds in each branch to sprout more new branches.
