Cutting technique of Poplar seedlings
Select the nursery land with fertile soil, loose soil and good drainage and irrigation, adopt 1-year-old strong and flat stubble seedlings, cut evenly, and preserve the cuttings well, in spring and autumn, cuttings are cut according to the row spacing 60cm, the cuttings are at an angle of 45 degrees with the ground at an angle of 45 degrees, 1-2 buds should be exposed, about 4 plants can be inserted per meter, and about 4800 plants can be inserted per mu, the cuttings should not be inverted, and the cuttings should be watered in time after cutting.
First, choose a good breeding site.
The nursery land should be selected in the areas with flat terrain, good drainage and irrigation, fertile soil, loose soil and convenient transportation, turn the soil deep to 25-30cm frozen soil before winter, apply 6000 jin of bottom fertilizer per mu, prepare the soil for bed in the spring of the next year, and choose the nursery land with better soil quality, which is beneficial to improve the survival rate of seedlings.
2. Cutting and cuttings
It is suitable to choose 1-year-old stubble seedlings, the branches should be pest-free and robust, the cuttings should be 1-2.5cm in diameter and 15-18cm in length, and 3-5 strong buds should be retained. The top should be cut flat with a kitchen knife, and the tail should be cut into horseshoe shape. During this period, the incision should be avoided, and then the cut cuttings should be stored in time to prevent air-drying from losing moisture and reduce the survival rate.
Third, insert a bar
Poplar cuttings and seedlings can generally be carried out in spring and autumn, but cuttings should be cut early in spring, according to the row spacing 60cm cable cuttings, cuttings and the ground at an angle of 45 °, the ground should expose 1-2 buds, about 4 cuttings per meter, and about 4800 cuttings per mu, during which cuttings can not be inverted, and cuttings of different thickness should be cut separately to maintain neat growth.
IV. Fertilizer and water management
A small amount of water should be watered in time after cutting. in the later stage, it can be watered every 7 days, and after the seedlings are fixed in the first and middle days of May, they can be watered with fertilization. After that, they can be watered according to the soil conditions every 13 days or so. Generally, they should be fertilized twice from June to July, and they need to be watered about 10 times a year, and then stop watering at the beginning of September, so as to promote the Lignification of poplar seedlings and avoid the overgrowth of poplar seedlings. It helps to get through the winter safely.
Fifth, picking buds and weeding
After about 2 times of loosening soil and weeding, lateral branches will grow in the axils of the leaflets of poplars, and the buds need to be removed immediately. In the whole growth process, buds should be picked at least three times. The first time can be selected in mid-late May, there are more than two branches, only one can be retained, the second time can choose at the end of June, all the sprouting lateral branches can be cut off, and the third time can be selected in mid-late July.
VI. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests
1. Raising seedlings: soil preparation is carried out before raising seedlings. 50% methyl parathion granules can be used per mu, 1.5-2 kg of fine soil can be mixed and sprinkled into the soil to control underground pests.
2. Transplanting seedlings: 50% carbendazim and 15% methyl topiramate can be used to soak the roots for 1-2 hours according to the ratio of 1:1, which can effectively control black spot and root rot.
3. Germination: 50% methamidophos 1200 times solution can be used to spray the rhizome, which can effectively control bud diseases and insect pests.
4. Growth period: from July to August, 50% phoxim and 1500 times carbendazim can be used to control diseases and insect pests such as poisonous diamondback moth and brown spot.
