Substrate and container: soilless cultivation of Toona sinensis buds should be based on perlite and newsprint, and lightweight plastic pots should be selected for containers. Seed selection: new seeds with high purity, purity and germination rate should be selected. Promote germination and sow seeds: first dry the seeds, then soak them in warm water for about 12-24 hours, and sow seeds when the germination rate reaches 70%. Light and temperature: the suitable growth temperature is about 20-23 ℃ when the light intensity is controlled at medium intensity. Reasonable watering: just keep the seedling plate moist.

First, select matrix and container

1. The substrates of soilless culture include newsprint, non-woven cloth, rock wool, clean fine river sand or perlite with light bulk density, no pollution, strong water holding capacity and good ventilation.

2. The container of soilless cultivation can choose the seedling pot of light plastic vegetables, the general specification is 62cm × 24cm × 4cm, and other specifications can also be selected.

3. The specification of the cultivated container can be made of angle steel or wooden design into a multi-layer three-dimensional cultivation rack, each floor interval is about 40cm, and about 4-6 layers can be designed, so that the space can be fully utilized and the utilization rate of the production site can be improved.

2. Soilless cultivation techniques

1. Seed selection

The seeds must be selected before planting, and the series varieties of Toona sinensis with high purity, purity and germination rate should be selected, and it is better to choose the new seeds of the same year.

2. Accelerating germination and sowing

(1) first of all, after drying and cleaning, the seeds can be soaked in water at a temperature of 18-25 ℃ for about 12-24 hours, and then placed in a place of 20-23 ℃ for germination. In order to ensure the appropriate humidity of the seeds, they can be covered with moisturizing cloth and sprayed with water.

(2) each plate can sow about 500-700 grams. In order for the seeds to sprout evenly, it is necessary to reverse the plate once a day, and then change the position of the seedling plate up and down. When the seed germination rate reaches about 70% after 3-4 days, the seeds can be sown.

(3) before sowing, you need to wet perlite, you can probably squeeze out water droplets, spread 1000 ml perlite in the seedling plate, and then sow it, each plate can be sown with about 30-50 grams, and then cover it with about 2000 ml perlite, do not compact it, spray about 2-3 times a day, and wait until the seedlings grow to 2-3cm can be put into the cultivation room.

3. Light and temperature

The main results are as follows: (1) soilless cultivation of Toona sinensis buds need to control the light, and Toona sinensis buds are suitable to grow under medium intensity light.

(2) in addition, the growth temperature is also important, the suitable growth temperature is about 20-23 ℃, the temperature can not exceed 30 ℃, not less than 15 ℃, at the suitable temperature, the growth period of Toona sinensis bud is about 15-18 days.

4. Rational watering

Timely watering should be carried out during the sprout growth period, and micro-spraying facilities or plant protection sprayers can be used for spraying about 2-3 times a day. You only need to keep the matrix in the seedling plate moist, not too much. In order to ensure air humidity, you can wet the ground. Be sure to pay attention to weather changes.

5. Disease prevention management

If there are seed mildew and rotting roots and other phenomena, the possible reasons: poor seed quality, seedling plate is not clean enough, temperature and humidity are not suitable, and so on, try not to use chemical pesticides, can deal with the reasons.
