Soaking seeds to promote germination: tomato seeds can be soaked in warm water to improve the germination rate. Sowing and planting: sow seeds in a suitable environment and wait for the seedlings to grow to 2-3 true leaves. Late management: timely ploughing and weeding, reasonable application of fertilizer, timely watering and erection. Planting time: spring tomato is generally sown in February, sowing in July-August in autumn and winter, sowing in November-early December in winter and spring, and sowing from mid-late September to October in overwintering.

1. Planting time of tomatoes

Tomato is a common fruit and vegetable, which can not only be eaten raw, but also can be fried and eaten. Tomatoes are rich in vitamins and are widely planted in China. Different regions can be planted reasonably according to specific climate conditions. According to the different planting and harvest time, tomato can be divided into spring tomato, autumn and winter stubble, winter and spring stubble and overwintering stubble.

1. Spring tomato

Spring tomatoes are generally sown and raised seedlings in the protected field in February after the local late frost period. they are cultivated in early spring in December and can be put on the market from May to June.

2. Autumn and winter

The autumn and winter stubble is generally sown and raised seedlings from mid-July to early-middle August, and planted from mid-late August to early September. The plastic film was buckled from mid-late September to early October and harvested from late November to early February of the following year.

3. Winter and spring

Winter and spring stubble is generally sown from early November to early December, colonized from mid-late January to early February the following year, and can be harvested from March to June.

4. Overwintering stubble

The overwintering stubble is generally raised from mid-late September to early October, planted in November, and harvested in January of the following year.

II. Planting methods of tomatoes

1. Soaking seeds to accelerate germination

The main results are as follows: (1) before planting, the seeds can be soaked in warm water, which is beneficial to break the seed dormancy, thus improve the seed germination rate, and has a certain sterilization and sterilization effect.

(2) method of operation: first, soak the seeds in clean water for about 1-2 hours, then remove the seeds and put them in warm water of 50-60 ℃. In order to prevent the seeds from scald, keep stirring, waiting for the water temperature to drop, and continue to add water to raise temperature, this process is about 15 minutes, and finally the seeds continue to soak for about 3-5 hours before sowing.

2. Sowing and planting

(1) sowing the treated seeds in the seedbed should not be too dense. It is better to sow about 30 grams per square meter, so that the soil can keep a certain humidity and the temperature is about 22-28 ℃. It will sprout in about 3-4 days.

(2) when the seedlings grow to 2-3 true leaves, they can be planted, and the ground temperature should be kept above 10 ℃, which is conducive to root growth and improve the survival rate.

3. Post-management

The main results are as follows: (1) in order to promote rapid rooting and slow seedling growth, intertillage can be carried out after planting, which can be carried out together with weeding and loosening soil.

(2) tomatoes need to apply sufficient base fertilizer before planting, but not in the later stage. If you want to speed up plant growth, you can properly apply fertilizer 1-2 times, and water immediately after applying fertilizer, which is helpful to reduce the concentration of fertilizer and prevent root burning.

(3) tomatoes can be watered timely according to the change of seasonal climate, more watering in summer, less watering in winter, and timely drainage in rainy season to prevent excessive water from rotting roots.

(4) most varieties of tomatoes need to be planted, except for a few erect varieties.
