Apply sufficient base fertilizer: before strawberry planting, apply sufficient base fertilizer to meet the nutrition needs of the plant. Reasonable topdressing: about 10-15 kg of compound fertilizer per mu was applied to strawberries from growth to flowering, and about 15 kg of high-N and K compound fertilizer was applied per mu in the berry period. in the later stage of fruit harvest, topdressing can be carried out reasonably according to the amount of fruit. Extra-root topdressing: foliar fertilizer can be sprayed on the leaves of strawberries in the middle and later stages, usually in the evening of cloudy or sunny days.

1. Characteristics of strawberry fertilizer requirement

1. The root system of strawberry is relatively shallow, and the amount of fertilizer needed in the growth process is relatively large, but it is more sensitive to nutrients. Too much or too little application will affect its normal growth and development, resulting in the reduction of yield and quality.

2. Strawberries need nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, zinc, iron, boron, magnesium, calcium and other trace elements in the growth process.

3. Strawberries need phosphorus in the early growth stage, a large amount of nitrogen in the early and middle stages, and potassium in the whole growing period. if strawberries are deficient in phosphorus, purplish red spots will appear on the leaves, and the flowers and fruits on the plants are smaller than those of normal plants.

4. If strawberries are nitrogen deficient, the leaves will be yellow, slightly smaller than normal leaves, and partially scorched.

5. If the strawberry lacks potassium, the edge of the leaf is black, brown or even withered, the old leaf will suffer more seriously, the fruit color is lighter and the taste is poor, because potash fertilizer mainly promotes fruit ripening and increases fruit sugar content, thus improving fruit quality.

2. Fertilization methods for strawberries

1. Apply sufficient base fertilizer

The main results are as follows: (1) in order to ensure the normal growth of strawberries during the whole breeding period, rational fertilization must be applied to increase the yield of strawberries.

(2) Strawberry can be combined with deep ploughing and soil preparation to apply sufficient base fertilizer before planting. Generally, about 2000-3000 kg of mature high-quality organic fertilizer can be applied per mu, and about 50-60 kg of potassium sulfate compound fertilizer can be applied together.

2. Reasonable topdressing

The main results are as follows: (1) from the beginning of growth to the pre-flowering stage, strawberry can apply about 10-15 kg compound fertilizer per mu in order to meet the nutrition needs of plants during flowering and fruiting stage. if the basal fertilizer is sufficient, it can not be applied.

(2) during the strawberry expansion period, about 15 kg of high nitrogen and potassium compound fertilizer can be applied per mu. After a large amount of strawberry fruit, the plant is seriously deficient in nutrients and can be fertilized properly, which is beneficial to the restoration of plant growth and the formation of more new leaves and roots.

(3) the amount of topdressing can be determined according to the amount of fruit harvested, less fruit and more fruit.

3. Spraying outside the root

The main results are as follows: (1) Strawberry can be applied outside the root according to the growth of the plant in the middle and later stage, that is, foliar spraying.

(2) in order to increase the fruit setting rate and improve the fruit quality of strawberry, potassium dihydrogen phosphate or other foliar fertilizer can be sprayed about 3-4 times in the middle and later stage of strawberry.

(3) foliar spraying should be carried out in the evening on cloudy or sunny days, because the temperature at noon is too high and the evaporation is too large, which is easy to cause strawberry fertilizer damage.
