Planting method: strong permeable sandy soil can be selected, ginger pieces can be soaked and disinfected, and planted according to the density of plant spacing 30cm and row spacing 40cm, basic fertilizer can be applied potash fertilizer and organic rot fertilizer, topdressing fertilizer can be applied urea, potash fertilizer, compound fertilizer, etc., pay attention to the prevention and control of diseases and insect pests, and the harvest time is from November to December. Planting time: in Hunan and Wuhan, the suitable planting time is from April to May, while in the river valleys of northwest and southwest, the suitable planting time is March.

First, planting time

The specific planting time of ginger is determined by the air temperature. in Hunan, Wuhan and other areas, the planting time of ginger is from April to May every year, while in the river valleys of the northwest and southwest, it has already been planted in March. The suitable growth temperature of ginger is about 25-30 ℃, and the lowest temperature can not be lower than 15 ℃, so we can grasp the planting time according to the local temperature change.

II. Land selection and seed selection

1. Ginger is sensitive to water, and its ability to resist drought and waterlogging is not good, so when selecting land, we need to choose sandy soil with strong permeability and be close to water source, which is also convenient for irrigation and drainage in the later stage.

2. Ginger tubers with healthy, strong tubers and good color should be selected for seed selection, and the vitality of ginger buds should be carefully observed, and there is no withering phenomenon during the period.

Third, sowing and density

1. Before sowing, soak the ginger in the medicine for about ten minutes, then remove it and mix it with sand, put it in a clean place, seal it with plastic film, and wait for about 5 days to sow.

2. When sowing, you can sow seeds according to the distance of 30cm for each plant and 40cm for each row, and then put the germinated part upward into the pit as far as possible, place it neatly and cover a small amount of thin soil, and cover it with a layer of straw.

IV. Base fertilizer and topdressing

1. When planting, 60 jin of potash fertilizer and organic rotten fertilizer can be applied per mu, and when the seedlings grow to the height of 25cm, they should be irrigated with feces and water, or sprayed with 40 jin of urea and water.

2. In early September in autumn, in order to promote the growth of tubers, 60 jin potash fertilizer and 90 jin compound fertilizer can be applied per mu. Finally, when the tuber grows slightly to 3 thumbs, 30 jin potash fertilizer and 45 jin compound fertilizer can be applied per mu.

V. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests

1. Ginger borer and ginger maggot: trichlorfon and phoxim can be used for foliar spray control.

2. Spot disease: it can be sprayed with 800 times 50% chlorothalonil every 7-10 days.

3. Rot disease: during the peak period from July to September, the diseased plants should be pulled out as soon as possible, and the soil around the plants should be dug up to prevent bacterial infection, then sprinkle a small amount of lime, and then fill the ground with soil.

VI. Harvest

You can choose to harvest from November to December, when the stems and leaves of ginger turn yellow and wither, which indicates that it can be harvested and can be harvested every 2 years for better taste.
