Tree rose is suitable to be planted in fertile land with good drainage and irrigation, convenient transportation and sunny leeward, and the tree rose with strong and high cuttage survival rate is selected as rootstock, and the cuttings are inserted into the sand bed from April to May in spring, keeping the temperature at 22-26 ℃, watering according to soil dry humidity, transplanting into flowerpots or fields after rooting, retaining a strong branch as tree trunk in the later stage, and the rest can be trimmed off.

First, select land parcels

Choose to plant in the land with fertile, good drainage and irrigation, convenient transportation, leeward and sunny land, and it is suitable to loam or sandy loam. Turning the soil deep once in the winter of the previous year is beneficial to freeze and kill the pests and germs in the soil.

Second, cultivate rootstocks

The tree-like rose with strong resistance, strong growth, good upright, developed root system and high survival rate of cutting was selected as rootstock. Now the widely used rootstock is wild rose, and non-thorny multi-flowered rose or pink rose can be selected. The cutting time of rootstock can be from April to May in spring, while cutting in greenhouse can be carried out at any time.

Third, prepare the seedbed

The cutting nursery should choose the place where the land is fertile, convenient for water and flat, after turning the soil deeply, applying appropriate amount of sheep manure fertilizer, and leveling the land, spread the river sand on the soil, the thickness of the sand layer is 3-5cm, the sand bed can be sterilized with 0.1% carbendazim, the width of the bed is about 1.5m, the length is about 5m, and the plastic bow shed should be built after the sand bed is finished, and the top height is about 1m. Then build a shade on it, with a height of more than 1.8 meters.

4. Cutting cuttings

Generally, the cutting length of cuttings is 10cm. When cutting, only 1-2 leaves are retained on the cuttings, cut into a flat mouth at the top of the cuttings, and cut into an oblique mouth below, which is suitable for a few millimeters from the axillary buds.

5. Cutting process

It is necessary to wet the sand bed before cutting, drill holes on the sand bed with a small stick during cutting, and then insert the cuttings into the hole, the straight diameter of the hole is larger than the diameter of the cutting mouth, the suitable depth of cutting is about 3cm, and the density is 10cm × 15cm. After cutting, the hole should be pinched to promote the close combination of river sand and cuttings.

VI. Management in the later stage of cutting

After cutting, the temperature should be controlled at 22-26 ℃ as far as possible, so that the air temperature is the same as the ground temperature. When the temperature rises, it can be watered on the shed or on the ground, or properly cooled by ventilation. In the early stage of cutting, water is watered once in 7-10 days. When the water demand increases after rooting, water should be watered once in 3-5 days. During the period, the plastic shed should be opened in the morning and evening to carry out ventilation and light transmission, and slowly prolong the time of ventilation and light transmission. Promote the seedlings to adapt to the external environment.

VII. Seedling transplant

Transplant the rooted seedlings into flowerpots or fields and plant 30cm × 40cm according to the row spacing of each plant.

VIII.Seedling management

In the management of newly planted seedlings, we need to be careful not to damage their roots. In the winter of the first year, all the branches on the ground should be cut off. After the branches grow in the second year, one strong and erect branch should be selected as the trunk, and the rest of the branches should be cut off. In the spring of the third year, this trunk can be used as a rootstock.
