Bud grafting: Grafting from a cambium bud, July to September. Splitting method: scion optional 2 years old, with 3-4 nodes of the branches, both sides need to cut into equal wedge, inserted into the rootstock incision, and then bound firmly. Abutment method: scion female parent branches and rootstock female parent branches, set aside two appropriate depth by the interface, tied solid tie good. Belly grafting: grafting on the belly of a rootstock. Cutting-grafting method: a more commonly used grafting method.

1. Bud grafting method

1. Bud grafting is actually scion, grafting with a cambium bud.

2, this method is generally carried out in July to September, can be used "T" shaped shield bud mosaic method, that is, the scion bud cut into shield shape, but the rootstock needs to be cut into "T" shape to embed the scion.

3. When dealing with rootstock, choose smooth surface at grafting position, that is, the best in the north, cut horizontally, cut deeply into xylem, then cut the incision vertically downward, make it into "T" shape, then peel off the bark gently, insert scion into "T" shape incision, finally use thin film to wrap from bottom to top, expose bud eye, make a living knot, and then unwrap it when it sprouts in the second year.

4, after the completion of grafting need to observe more, such as scion bud germination must be removed in time to wrap the film.

II. Splitting method

1. Splitting method can also be called cutting, which is often used for thicker osmanthus rootstock or high grafting.

2. Pay attention to the treatment of rootstock, remove the growth point and heart leaf, and then cut the rootstock vertically at the center of the rootstock section with a cleaving knife when grafting. It is better to cut the rootstock at 4-5cm.

3, the general scion should be selected 2 years old, with 3-4 nodes of branches, the length of 10cm is good.

4. Both sides of the scion need to be cut into equal wedges, and then insert 2-4 scions into the cut of the rootstock, so that the cambium layers are closely combined together, and then bind firmly with plastic film. Note that the film tape must be used to cover the rootstock section and the scion top.

Third, the method of abutment

1. The characteristics of the grafting method are that the rootstock and scion have separate roots in the process of grafting, and only after confirming that the scion can survive in the rootstock will the roots be disconnected.

2. Generally, this method is carried out in May to June. When abutting, the scion female parent branch and the stock female parent branch can be cut off about 5-10 cm at an appropriate height, leaving two abutting inclined openings with a depth of one third to one half of the trunk diameter, aiming at the cortex to make their cambium closely combined, and then tied with thin film. After survival, cut the scion from under the joint.

IV. Abdominal connection method

1. This method is a method of grafting with the abdomen of the rootstock. During grafting, within 3-5cm from the root of the rootstock, a knife can be used to cut into the rootstock at an angle of 20-30 degrees, and the depth needs to reach one third to one half of the diameter of the rootstock.

2. Both sides of the scion branch can be cut into 1-2cm double-sided wedge shape, and 1-2 pairs of buds can be reserved. After the scion is cut off, it can be inserted into the rootstock incision, aligned with the formation layer on one side of the rootstock, and then the whole joint part is bound with plastic film tape.

V. Cutting method

1. This method is more commonly used grafting seedlings method, in the grafting at 5-7cm from the ground, need to cut the rootstock flat, in the bark of the smooth side, can be slightly with xylem vertical cut, cut in 2- 3 cm is good.

2. The lower end of the scion should be cut into a 2-3cm inclined plane, and then cut into a short inclined plane of about 1cm. The scion should retain 1-2 pairs of buds, and the branches should be cut horizontally.
