Time and method of asparagus harvest
Asparagus harvesting time: harvest in the second year after planting, harvest in april to june or september to november, harvest twice a year. The method of picking bamboo shoots: cultivate soil 1-2 weeks before picking bamboo shoots, pay attention to the cracking and top tile phenomenon of ridge surface when picking bamboo shoots, peel off the soil, when the tender shoots are exposed for 5cm, pinch the tender stems for 3cm, and then harvest along the rhizome direction with a knife. By adopting this method, about 1-2 hectares can be harvested per person per day.
1. Harvest time of asparagus
1, asparagus is usually harvested in the second year after planting, can be harvested twice a year, harvesting time is generally carried out in April-June or September-November, should not be harvested in summer high temperature weather, easy to affect the yield and quality of asparagus.
2. In North China, shoot picking is generally carried out in the first and middle of April, and the ground temperature is stable above 10℃. It takes about 15-20 days from soil cultivation to shoot picking. Because of regional climate, soil quality, plant age and other factors, the duration of shoot picking will vary.
Generally, the harvest period of the first year is about 20-30 days, the second year is about 30-40 days, and the later period is appropriately extended to about 60 days. After the harvest, it is necessary to leave more than 90 days for the plant to recover.
II. Method of collecting bamboo shoots
1. Asparagus needs to be cultivated 1-2 weeks before harvest. Generally, the temperature rises in spring, and the buds have not yet been unearthed, but it should not be carried out too early. When cultivating soil, leaves and compost without fermentation should not be left in the soil, otherwise it is easy to infect rust.
2. When picking shoots, observe the cracking and roof tile phenomenon on the ridge surface, and then gently open the soil with your hands. When the tender shoots are exposed for about 5 cm, you must not damage the shoot tips or other growing shoot buds. Hold the shoot tips 3cm with your hands, insert them into the soil with a knife at an angle of 75° to the ground, and insert them 3cm away from the tender stems. Harvest along the direction of the young stems of asparagus. Use this method to collect shoots every day. About 1-2 hectares.
3. After harvesting, fill the hole with wet soil to about 5cm higher than the ridge, and then compact it parallel to the ridge surface. The soil should not be too loose or too tight, otherwise it will affect the growth and bending of the tender stem of the second extraction, or because of poor ventilation and light transmission. Color, shoot tip scattered, aging, thus reducing the quality.
4, must not damage the phosphorus buds and underground stems when picking bamboo shoots, in order to prevent the production of bacteria, the peak period of bamboo shoots should be harvested early and late every day, the tender stem height of 23-26cm should be cut off from the soil surface to prevent nutrient loss, affecting the yield, every harvest regardless of good or bad should be cut.
III. Tools for collecting bamboo shoots
The tools for bamboo shoot collection include bamboo shoot collecting knife and bamboo shoot holder. The commonly used bamboo shoot collecting knife is made of carbon steel, with sharp blade and wooden handle. The blade length is about 10cm, the blade width is about 2cm, and the blade is also engraved with length marks, so as to avoid different depths when cutting.
