Huayeman ivy can be used to prepare soil with plain sand, garden soil, rotten leaf soil, rice chaff ash and other materials, the minimum growth temperature of potted plants should not be lower than 5 ℃, and they like to grow in a semi-shady environment, keep the soil moist in the pot in spring, summer and autumn, keep the soil dry in winter, and the suitable air humidity is 70-80%. Nitrogen fertilizer, phosphate fertilizer and potassium fertilizer can be applied during the growth period, and branches and leaves should be trimmed in time in the later stage.

I. upper basin and change basin

Huayeman ivy likes fertile, loose and well-drained sandy loam, and the substrate can be prepared with plain sand, garden soil, rotten leaf soil, rice chaff ash and other materials. About 3-5 seedlings can be planted in each pot, which is helpful to promote the plant to take shape as soon as possible. Huayeman ivy grows rapidly and needs to be changed once a year in spring. After the pot is removed, the root matrix can be washed with clean water for water culture.

Second, temperature

Ivy likes to be warm, the suitable temperature for growth from April to August is 18-20 ℃, and the suitable temperature for growth from September to March is 13-18 ℃. It can tolerate cold and can withstand a low temperature of about 1 ℃. It can safely pass the winter when it moves indoors in winter, and the aboveground part of the plant dies due to freezing injury. It can still sprout and branch in the spring of the second year, but the pot plant is best kept at a temperature of no less than 5 ℃.

Third, lighting

The flower leaf man ivy does not have very high request to the light, likes to breed in the semi-shade environment, can grow healthily under the sufficient scattered light, from October to April of the second year, if the light is sufficient, it will grow better, avoid strong sunlight exposure during the culture period, otherwise it is easy to cause the leaf tip and leaf edge to dry up, and it needs proper shade from May to September.

Fourth, watering

The flower leaf man ivy likes the moist soil environment, the water resistance, the growth process needs to have sufficient moisture, keeps the soil moist in the basin, when entering the winter, needs to control watering, keeps the soil in the basin dry.

5. Humidity

The flower leaf man ivy likes the wet environment, so the air should not be too dry. During the breeding period, it is necessary to spray water to the plant and its surrounding environment, which is helpful to improve the humidity in the air. When the air relative humidity is 70-80%, the growth of the plant is better.

VI. Fertilization

Ivy grows rapidly and needs to replenish the nutrients needed for growth in time during the growth period. Nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers are applied once or twice every 30 days to promote plant growth and brighten the markings on the leaf surface. Stop applying nitrogen fertilizer after autumn, and properly increase the application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, it is beneficial to improve the cold resistance of the plant, and stop applying all fertilizers in winter.

7. Pruning

The young plants need to be coring 1-2 times, and the management of water and fertilizer should be strengthened, which is helpful to promote the plant to form a good crown width. when the branch tip is too prosperous, coring and topping can be carried out properly, which is beneficial to the more luxuriant growth of the plant. plants with weak growth can be re-pruned in spring combined with changing pots, which is conducive to the restoration of normal growth.

8. Common diseases and insect pests

During the whole growth period of Ivy, there are mainly diseases and insect pests such as canker, Fusarium wilt, leaf spot, shell insects, root-knot nematodes and so on.
