Planting method: Chieh-qua can be planted in a place with good drainage and irrigation conditions, sufficient water source and leeward to the sun, and a 2m border should be made before planting, and then covered with plastic film immediately after planting, and the forage can be covered with low temperature at night. Fertilization and watering can be carried out when the vine is drawn, and no watering is needed before, topdressing should be carried out after the second melon grows, and the tendril should be set up to guide the vine when tendril appears, and trim and reshape. Planting time: from January to March in spring, from April to June in summer and from July to August in autumn.

1. Planting time of Chieh-qua

Chieh-qua is sown from January to March in the south, and the harvest time is about April-July, April-June in summer, June-October in summer, July-August in autumn, and September-November.

2. Selecting land for planting

The main results are as follows: 1. Chieh-qua should be planted in places with sufficient water sources, no diseases, leeward to the sun, and good drainage and irrigation conditions.

2. Before planting Chieh-qua, we should first make a border of about 2m in the soil, the distance between the two rows of Chieh-qua should be about two rows, and the distance of planting holes is about 45cm. Each planting needs to be planted up to two plants, and the planting amount should not exceed 3000 plants per mu.

3, after planting, should immediately water, and then cover a film, the night temperature is relatively low, can be covered with a layer of forage, conducive to heat preservation.

III. Water and fertilizer management

1. After the melon is planted, it should be watered immediately, and there is no need to water it until the vine is drawn. When the vine is drawn, it can be fertilized and watered appropriately, and about 150jin of diammonium phosphate can be applied per mu. When the first melon grows to 15cm, the water demand is relatively large. In order to keep the soil moist all the time, watering can be carried out regularly.

2. After the growth of the second Chieh-qua, topdressing can be carried out appropriately in order to meet the nutrition needed for the growth of Chieh-qua.

IV. Plastic tendril

1. In the process of planting Chieh-qua, the plant must maintain good growth at any time, trim the shape properly, and if tendrils appear, the tendrils must be set up to draw vines in time.

2. Usually in order to promote the rapid growth of the plant, Jiegu will be built into a "human" shape, which is also conducive to the prevention and control of some diseases and insect pests. Before the fruiting period, in order to prevent the loss of nutrients, all the lateral vines growing at the base of the main vine should be removed, and in the later stage of fruit, all the lateral vines in the lower part of the plant should be removed and only the lateral vines in the upper part of the plant can be retained, which is beneficial to increase the yield.

5. Timely harvest

1. Chieh-qua should not be harvested too early or too late, such as harvesting too late, so that Chieh-qua is over-mature, resulting in easy to produce diseases and insect pests, easy to crack melons, and even miss the time to be sold. If harvested prematurely, Chieh-melon is not mature enough, thus affecting quality and reducing income.

2. Generally, the harvest time of Jiegu is about 1-2 months after the first flower is bloomed, and the harvest time can be considered according to market demand, maturity, consumers' eating habits and so on. For example, there are more people who like to eat tender melons. It can be harvested and listed as long as 1 jin of melons.
