Stem sowing method: suitable for grass species with well-developed stolons, the stolons are cut into several small segments for strip sowing or sowing. The method of planting roots: generally carried out in early spring or rainy season, the roots of grass are dug out and planted in close density reasonably.

I. sowing method

1. Generally, most lawns can be sowed in spring or autumn, and the lawns sown in late autumn emerge neatly. If the lawn needs to be planted in a large area, it should be planted by strip sowing or machine sowing. A small area can be sown manually.

2. After the turf is sown, the soil should be loosened properly and then suppressed with wood. In order to improve the emergence rate of seeds, a layer of straw should be covered above to avoid accelerated water loss, and skilled sowing techniques should be mastered before sowing, so as to ensure uniform sowing. In addition, later management is also more cumbersome.

II. Paving method

The working procedure of this planting method is complicated and the investment cost is relatively high, but the lawn can be built quickly.

Third, stem sowing method

1. As long as the grass species with more developed stolons can be propagated by stem sowing, such as creeping shearing glume, buffalo grass, Zoysia grasses, Bermudagrass, carpet grass and so on, it is generally better to sow in the rainy season or when the early spring turf is about to germinate, first cut off the stolons on the lawn, and then cut them into segments in a shaded place, about 5-8cm long, with one node reserved for each segment. In order to ensure the germination of new roots, and finally can be strip sowing or sowing.

2. Strip sowing: on the arranged land, shallow ditches are opened and water is thoroughly watered. After the water has completely penetrated into the soil, 2-3 stems can be placed along the ditch, planted around 20cm according to the row spacing, and then covered with a thin layer of soil and watered once a day. After the new buds are unearthed, watering can be stopped.

3. Sowing: first, fill the planting plot with enough water, and after it seeps into the soil, you can spread the treated vines on the soil surface, and finally cover it with a thin layer of soil.

Fourth, the method of planting roots

1. Grass species without stem vines and with many tillers are suitable for planting roots, such as velvet, sheep beard grass, etc., which are generally planted in early spring or rainy season.

2. Firstly, the roots of the dense turf are dug out, then the soil is shaken off, the weeds are removed, and part of the fibrous roots can be cut off to carry out strip or hole planting according to the appropriate plant-row spacing.

3. After planting, it is better to cover a layer of 2cm thick soil, compacted and watered thoroughly. When the new leaves germinate, in order to prevent the soil from dry cracking and hardening, it can be watered about 1-2 times a day.
