Planting method: bamboo shoots can be planted by rhizome and sowing, rhizome planting is to cut the tender rhizome into small segments of about 12 cm, 3 segments of rhizome are planted in each hole, compacted with soil and watered, and sowing is carried out after Ching Ming Festival. Field management: intermediate ploughing and weeding is carried out at the seedling stage. When the seedlings grow to 32 cm, ridges should be closed in time and properly watered. During the growth period, rotten farm manure should be applied mainly, topdressing should be carried out after the first harvest, and replanting should be carried out after continuous planting for 2 years.

First, sow seeds at the right time

1. Rhizome planting mode

After the bamboo shoots were harvested, the robust young rhizomes were selected and cut into small segments about 12cm, and then the suitable density was controlled. About 3 segments of rhizomes could be placed in each planting hole. After planting, the rhizomes should be gently compacted by covering the soil, and the soil should be drenched thoroughly to promote rhizome germination.

2. Sowing and planting methods

Need to select robust and disease-free seeds, choose strip sowing before and after Ching Ming Festival, like the method of rhizome planting, need to cover the soil in time after sowing to suppress, but sowing planting without rhizome planting has a high germination rate, generally only about 55%, during which the soil temperature should be controlled at about 18 ℃, waiting for about 9 days before it can take root and sprout.

II. Field management

The main results are as follows: 1. Seedling management should be done well after sowing and emergence, and timely ploughing and weeding should be carried out in the seedling stage, which is helpful to promote the robust growth of seedlings and improve the survival rate. When the seedlings grow to about 32cm, ridge sealing should be carried out in time, weeding should be stopped after ridge sealing, and proper watering can be carried out, which is conducive to keeping the soil moist.

2. During the period, topdressing should be carried out according to the growth of the seedlings and the fertilizer content of the soil. The first topdressing can be carried out when the seedlings grow to about 12cm, and then after the first harvest. The main application of rotten farm manure, continuous planting for more than 2 years, when the plants are more luxuriant, it is necessary to replant, which is helpful to reduce the occurrence of diseases and insect pests.

III. Prevention and control of diseases and pests

The common diseases and insect pests of bamboo shoots are wild borer and rust, whether it is disease or pest, if it is not controlled in time, it will seriously affect the healthy growth of the plant, so it is necessary to take preventive measures to avoid the occurrence of diseases and insect pests.

After harvest, the diseased and residual branches in the garden should be cleared in time, and the land should be ploughed for disinfection, which is helpful to reduce the overwintering eggs and germs and reduce their morbidity. If rust is found during the period, washing powder mixed with sodium rust can be used for prevention and control.

IV. Timely harvest

The harvest time of bamboo shoots should be determined according to the planting time, and according to the normal sowing time, the general harvest time is in summer and autumn every year, and the branches and leaves of bamboo shoots grow thickly in summer and autumn. therefore, weeds should be removed in time before flowering to avoid weeds competing for nutrients for the growth of bamboo shoots.

During this period, the harvest time can be determined according to the planting area. In general, the southern region is harvested after Ching Ming Festival, and the bamboo shoots can grow continuously. Generally, the bamboo shoots can be harvested at least twice a year, but the land is used as a medicine or as a seed stalk. It is not suitable to harvest the aboveground part, otherwise it will not be able to grow again.
