Culture methods: orchids can be cultured in mixed rotten leaf soil with fine river sand, and a small amount of base fertilizer can be sprinkled into the soil, the suitable temperature for growth is about 18-30 ℃, more sun exposure in spring and autumn to promote rooting, shading in summer, orchids like rain but afraid of leaving, happy and moist, and appropriate amount of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizer can be applied in the growth process. Five points for attention: flowerpots should not be too large, planting should not be too deep, roots should be expanded, planting should not be watered for 3-5 days, and avoid direct light.

1. Soil

When breeding orchids, we need to choose soft and humus-rich slightly acidic soil, generally can use fine river sand mixed rotten leaf soil for culture, and finally can sprinkle a small amount of base fertilizer into the soil to provide it with more nutrients, but should not be added too much.

Second, temperature

The suitable temperature for orchid growth is 18-30 ℃, below 5 ℃ and above 35 ℃ will lead to slow growth, the suitable temperature for reproductive growth period is 5-18 ℃, and it needs to be maintained indoors in winter.

Third, humidity

In the process of culture, the relative humidity should be kept at 60-70%. Too dry or too wet humidity can easily cause diseases, so sprayers and hygrometers can be installed when farming outdoors.

Fourth, lighting

In the process of orchid growth, the orchid needs proper bathing and scattered light, but it is not suitable for strong light. In summer, 50% of the shading net is needed to block the sun. In spring and autumn, the orchid can get more sun, which is conducive to rooting, multiple leaf buds, and full buds. Make the plant grow more exuberantly in the second year.

Fifth, watering

Orchids like rain and fear to be scrawled, moist and wet, so when the leaf buds of orchids grow to 1.5cm in June-July, they can apply 1-2 times of thin and rotten liquid fertilizer, during which chemical fertilizer should not be applied, and wait until August-September and then apply 1-2 times of mature and thin liquid fertilizer, while orchids planted with vegetarian heart can generally apply 1-2 times of plant ash leaching solution, the time of fertilization can be chosen in the evening, and then watered again in the morning of the second day.

VI. Fertilizer

Like other plants, nitrogen can promote the vigorous growth of stems and leaves, phosphorus can promote the development of orchid roots, promote the growth and development of reproductive organs, and stretch the stems and leaves. Sulfur, magnesium, iron and other trace elements can make orchid leaves green, flowers strong, orchids need more fertilization in the period of vigorous growth, dormancy or weak growth period should not be fertilized, if excessive fertilization, it will lead to root and leaf burns.

VII. matters needing attention

1. The flowerpot should not be too large

If the small plant is planted in a large pot, and the amount of plant material is too much, it is easy to cause poor ventilation, and watering is easy to grasp. If watering absorbs too much water, the plant material will not be easy to dry, which can easily lead to bacterial invasion and root rot.

2. Orchids should be planted shallowly

Orchids should not be planted too deep, otherwise long-term moisture will easily lead to root rot, the need to plant material to fill the root, base, and pseudo-corms must be exposed.

3. The root system should be expanded.

When planting orchids, the roots should spread symmetrically and should not be squeezed together, so that the roots can fully absorb nutrients and have a good aeration effect.

4. Just planted for several days without watering

Most of the roots of orchids that have just been planted are damaged. If the wound is coated with fungicides, you have to wait for 3-5 days without watering in order to achieve better efficacy and promote the growth of new buds and roots.

5. Avoid direct glare

Orchids that have just been planted should avoid bright light to prevent dehydration. During this period, the orchids can be kept in a warm and shady place and sprayed to increase the humidity in the air until the orchids return to normal growth.
