Land selection for planting: the soil requires loose, fertile and well-drained semi-mud and semi-sandy soil. Soil preparation and fertilization: deep ploughing and fertilization, planting according to the 27cm of row spacing and plant spacing. Planting time: suitable for planting in March-May. Set up and draw vines: after planting, you can build a frame, and when the seedlings grow to 34cm, they begin to draw vines manually. Reasonable water and fertilizer: thin farm manure was applied at seedling stage, farm manure was applied in May next year, stable fertilizer was applied from September to October, and immediately watered after fertilization.

First, select land for planting

1. Wild Polygonum multiflorum often grows on hillsides, roadsides, gullies, bushes and other places, it is suitable to grow in humid and mild environment, Polygonum multiflorum has good adaptability, and most of the soil can be planted.

2. Polygonum multiflorum should be planted in areas with warm and humid climate. it should avoid stagnant water and dryness. before planting, it should be planted in fertile, loose, sunny, well-drained and moist semi-sand and semi-soil, but not in hard, clayey and coarse sand.

II. Soil preparation and fertilization

After selecting the planting site, the soil should be ploughed, deeply ploughed about 50cm, and then dried, and the basic fertilizer should be mainly compound fertilizer, about 30-60 kg, and then make a border with a width of 67-83 cm and a height of about 27cm. Planting should be carried out in accordance with double rows, the row spacing is about 27cm, and the plant spacing is about 27cm, and the five sides can also be planted according to the plant spacing 27cm.

Third, planting time

Generally speaking, Polygonum multiflorum is suitable to be planted at the beginning of March-May. In the climate of this stage, Rain Water is sufficient, and the temperature and humidity are just right, which is conducive to improving the survival rate after planting. It can also be planted in June-July in summer, when the temperature is higher, so it should be properly sheltered. Otherwise, the plant is not easy to survive, and generally can be propagated in three ways: ramet, cuttage, seed.

Fourth, set up a frame to draw vines

After the plant is planted, you can build a fence-like rattan or herringbone scaffolding, wait until the seedlings grow to 34cm or so, you can artificially lead to the hedge, before this only need to retain 1-2 strong seedlings on the hedge, other redundant side seedlings can be cut off in time, pay attention to the artificial vine on the shelf, should be right rotation to lead the vine on the shelf, not left rotation on the shelf.

5. Rational water and fertilizer

Polygonum multiflorum needs sufficient fertilizer during the growing period, and sufficient base fertilizer should be applied before planting. In the seedling stage, in order to promote seedling growth, thin farm manure can be applied once, and farm manure can be applied again in May next year, and immediately watered after fertilization. Wait until September-October, 1.5-22500 kg of barnyard manure can be applied per hectare.

VI. Harvest and storage

Generally speaking, when Polygonum multiflorum Thunb grows to 20-30 cm, tender stems and leaves can be harvested, and roots can be harvested in autumn after 3-4 years of planting. It can be eaten fresh or sliced to dry, and the stems and vines can be cut off after falling leaves in the coming autumn. Cut off the residual leaves and twigs, cut into stem segments of 70cm length, tie them up, and dry them in the sun.
