Moisture: cyclamen culture in the process of soil should not be too wet, easy to rot roots, if lodging, need timely watering, winter watering need to add a small amount of warm water, choose 12:00 to irrigate. Lighting: as long as there is no lodging in the leaves in winter, you can move outside to receive sufficient light. Temperature: 0 ℃ is prone to frost injury and needs to be moved indoors. Fertilizer: to ensure adequate and balanced nutrition during flowering, cyclamen special fertilizer can be selected.

I. methods of raising cyclamen in winter

1. Soil

Cyclamen likes to grow in loose, fertile, breathable and acidic peat soil with a suitable pH value of 5.8-6.5.

2. Moisture

In the process of culture, the soil should not be too wet to avoid causing rotten roots, when the culture environment has not changed, cyclamen foil lodging, timely watering, need to ensure that the water temperature is not too low, the water temperature is too low will lead to plant freezing damage.

If there is heating for breeding in the north, you can take the tap water to expose yourself for 2-3 days, and then water it when the water temperature is the same as the indoor temperature.

When breeding in the south, a small amount of warm water should be added in winter, and the water temperature should feel comfortable. You can choose to irrigate at about 12:00 at noon and when the temperature is high.

3. Lighting

When raising cyclamen in winter, when the temperature is below 25 ℃, as long as there is no lodging in foil and leaves, you can move outside to bask in the sun. Sufficient light can promote the flowers to grow more gorgeously.

4. Temperature

The suitable growth temperature of cyclamen is 10-20 ℃. When the temperature is below 5 ℃, the growth rate will become slow. When the temperature is 0 ℃, freezing injury will occur easily. When the temperature is above 30 ℃, the plant will stop growing and will be in a dormant state.

5. Fertilizer

Cyclamen in the flowering period, to ensure adequate nutrition, balanced, so do not apply too much nitrogen fertilizer, there are cyclamen special fertilizer sold on the market, nutrition is more comprehensive, can be used in accordance with the instructions.

Matters needing attention in breeding cyclamen

1. Environment: cyclamen should not grow in a smoke and dirty environment, which will dry up and wither the petals, and should not be directly placed in the tuyere for breeding.

2. Symptoms of Botrytis cinerea: there are waterlogged spots with a diameter of 1-2mm in the disease site, which will gradually expand in the later stage, the color will be brown and rot, when the petiole and flower stalk are infected with Botrytis cinerea, the leaves and flowers will fold, and the disease site will show a gray mold layer. in the later stage, it will become a tan mold layer, and the cause of the disease is high humidity and poor ventilation.

3, soft rot symptoms: generally due to bacterial infection, the disease will soften and rot, mostly in the bulb, mainly because the substrate disinfection is not complete, or did not carry out disinfection, the incidence is higher in high temperature and high humidity environment.

4. prevention and control methods: timely ventilation to reduce indoor humidity, remove infected leaves, so as to reduce the source of infection, and spray carbendazim, zinc, agricultural streptomycin and other broad-spectrum fungicides.
