Soil: goldfish grass is suitable for slightly acidic sandy soil with loose fertility and good drainage. Moisture: keep the basin soil moist, not stagnant water. Lighting: goldfish grass likes light, cluster-shaped compact, bright colors under sufficient light environment. Temperature: cold-resistant and heat-resistant, the suitable growth temperature is about 7-16 ℃. Fertilization: fertilize every 15 days or so. Pruning: when the seedlings grow to about 10cm, the coring is carried out, and the plant height is controlled by proper pruning to promote the sprouting of new branches.

1. Goldfish grass

Goldfish grass is a perennial erect herb, the plant height is about 20-70cm, the leaf is oblong-lanceolate, raceme, Corolla is cylindrical lip-shaped, its color is more, such as white, dark yellow, light yellow, light red, deep red, yellow orange, flesh color and so on.

2.Propagation methods of Snaphornia crassifolia

The main results are as follows: 1. Goldfish grass can be carried out by sowing propagation and stem propagation, and stem propagation is generally carried out from March to April in spring.

2. Generally, autumn sowing is mainly used in the Yangtze River basin and northern areas, because compared with spring sowing seedlings, autumn sowing seedlings grow stronger and bloom more vigorously. In order to improve the seed germination rate before sowing, the seeds can be soaked in 50-400 mg gibberellin solution. After being fished out and sown, the seedlings can emerge in about 7-10 days.

III. Culture methods of goldfish grass

1. Soil

Goldfish grass should be planted in slightly acidic sandy soil with good drainage conditions and loose and fertile soil.

2. Moisture

Goldfish grass in the growth process to keep the basin soil moist, properly watered, should not be excessive, basin bottom stagnant water, easy to lead to root rot, stems and leaves withered and withered.

3. Lighting

The goldfish grass likes light, grows in the sunny environment, the plant is short, the growth is neat, the cluster shape is compact, the flower color is more bright, if the light is not enough, the plant inflorescence is elongated, only long, the flower color is relatively dark.

4. Temperature

The temperature from March to September is about 12-16 ℃, and from September to March is about 7-10 ℃. The seedlings can be vernalized at a low temperature of 5 ℃. High temperature is easy to affect the normal growth of plants. The suitable temperature for flowering is about 15-16 ℃, and when some varieties are more than 15 ℃, there is no branching, thus affecting plant morphology.

5. Fertilization

Goldfish grass in the growth process needs to be reasonably applied nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium fertilizer, goldfish grass has rhizobium, has a certain effect of nitrogen fixation, so generally do not apply nitrogen fertilizer, appropriate application of phosphorus and potassium fertilizer, in the growth period, fermented oil residue water can be applied every 15 days or so, combined with watering, budding, first loosen the soil and weed before fertilization, and then spray 0.1-0.2% potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution.

6. Pruning

When the growth of goldfish grass reaches about 10cm, coring should be carried out properly, so as to control plant height, increase the number of lateral branches and flowers, cut off all the over-dense, sick, weak, withered and old branches, and cut off the flowering branches after each flowering, which is beneficial to promote the germination of new branches.
