Last Updated: 2024/11/08, Before planting: 1500-2000 kg of rotten organic fertilizer and 20-30 kg of mixed compound fertilizer were applied per mu. Seedling stage: when sugarcane seedlings grow 3-4 leaves, apply 8-10 kg compound fertilizer per mu, mixed with water hole application. After tillering, high nitrogen compound fertilizer was applied per mu.

Before planting: 1500- 2000kg decomposed organic fertilizer and 20- 30kg compound fertilizer are applied per mu in holes. Seedling stage: When sugarcane seedlings grow 3-4 leaves, apply 8-10 kg compound fertilizer per mu and apply it in holes. After seedling tillers: apply 15- 20kg high nitrogen compound fertilizer per mu, add water and apply it in holes or cultivate soil. In the middle and later stages of growth, 15- 20kg of high nitrogen compound fertilizer is applied per mu in the growth period, and 5- 8kg of compound fertilizer is applied in the later stage.

1. Sugar cane fertilization method

1. Apply sufficient base fertilizer

(1) Before planting, sufficient base fertilizer can be applied, mainly organic fertilizer, with a small amount of chemical fertilizer, so as to meet the needs of sugarcane bud growth, each mu can be applied with decomposed organic fertilizer of about 1500-2000 kg, with compound fertilizer of about 20-30 kg.

(2) planting sugarcane in spring can be dug into the hole, apply it into the cave, and then apply appropriate amount of inorganic fertilizer on both sides, such as planting sugarcane in winter can be used as seed fertilizer, and then cover a layer of soil on it, which is conducive to the smooth winter of sugarcane buds.

2. Fertilization at seedling stage

(1) In order to promote the rapid growth of sugarcane bud roots, early fertilizer can be applied in sugarcane seedlings to promote leaf growth and improve photosynthesis.

(2) Seedling fertilizer can choose high nitrogen compound fertilizer. When sugarcane seedlings grow 3-4 leaves, about 8-10 kg compound fertilizer can be applied per mu. It can be applied by adding water and hole application, or by intertillage and weeding combined with cultivating soil. Generally, it is recommended to apply water and hole application in drought.

(3) When the seedlings tiller, can apply strong tiller fertilizer, which is conducive to tiller thick, generally can apply high nitrogen and high potassium compound fertilizer 8-15 kg per mu, using water or soil method can be applied.

3. Fertilization in the middle and late stages of growth

(1) In general, sugarcane is in the period of rapid growth of stems during the elongation period. In order to improve yield, fertilizer application must be increased.

(2) Sugarcane in the extension period, in order to promote the growth of the root system, each mu can be applied with about 15-20 kg of high nitrogen compound fertilizer, combined with intertillage and soil cultivation, which is conducive to improving the absorption capacity of the root system.

(3) In the later stage, in order to cultivate underground sugarcane buds and lay a good foundation for the next year's ratoon roots, appropriate topdressing can be applied. Sugarcane can be applied with a strong tail fertilizer 2 months before maturity, and about 5-8 kg compound fertilizer can be applied per mu.

II. Amount of topdressing

1. Mountain planting generally yields about 3-4 tons per mu, about 10-13 kilograms of urea and 8-10 kilograms of potassium chloride can be applied per mu.

2. The yield of paddy field with high yield is about 5-6 tons per mu, and about 15-18 kg of urea and 10-13 kg of potassium chloride can be applied per mu.

3. The yield per mu of high-yield field is more than 7 tons. About 20-25 kg of urea and 16-20 kg of potassium chloride can be applied per mu. Phosphorus fertilizer can be applied as base fertilizer. If the base fertilizer is insufficient, topdressing can be carried out.

Third, fertilizer precautions

1. In order to avoid burning the bud eyes at the base of sugarcane seedlings, it is strictly forbidden to spread fertilizer on sugarcane stumps so as not to affect the germination of ratoon sugarcane in the coming year.

2. Generally, do not fertilize before heavy rain to prevent fertilizer loss.

3. Fertilization should not be applied when the soil is relatively dry, which will affect the drought resistance of sugarcane.

4. If ammonium bicarbonate is used when fertilizing, it can be converted into 2.5-2.6 kg ammonium bicarbonate according to 1 kg urea for fertilization.
