Breeding methods: humus soil, slag soil and garden soil can be used to prepare soil according to the proportion of 2:1:1; flowerpots should choose mud pots, pottery pots or porcelain pots with sufficient depth; orchids love humid environment and need to be watered in the morning and evening in summer. water is watered every 4 days in spring and autumn and once a week in winter; mature liquid fertilizer is applied every 15 days during the growing period, and fertilization is stopped in summer. Note: generally change the basin when the temperature is higher than 15 ℃ from March to April, and trim the root when changing the basin.

First, the culture method of Cymbidium

1. Prepare soil

The soil needs good air permeability and good drainage and water retention. Potted plants can choose humus soil, slag soil and pastoral soil to prepare and breed according to the proportion of 2:1:1. Be careful not to use all humus soil. Although the air permeability is good, water evaporation is relatively fast, which is not conducive to the robust growth of plants.

2. Select the deep basin

The cultivation of Magnolia does not need a large flowerpot, as long as its depth is deep enough, the specification of the flowerpot can be determined according to the size of the plant, you can choose mud pot, pottery pot, porcelain pot to breed.

3. Watering correctly

The magnolia likes the moist growth environment, so when the temperature is too high in summer and the water evaporates quickly, it needs to be watered every morning and evening, every 3-4 days in spring and autumn, and every 7 days in winter. outdoor maintenance requires more water.

4. Apply thin fertilizer frequently

When cultivating magnolia, the plant should be given sufficient nutrients, and the mature liquid fertilizer can be applied every 15 days or so, or retting rice water, soybeans, fish, etc., the summer plant is in a dormant period, need to stop fertilization, and in the gestation of flower buds, the appropriate amount of phosphate and potassium fertilizer can be applied.

Matters needing attention in aquaculture

1. Turn the flowerpot

When you put the orchid in the sun, you need to turn the flowerpot every 15 days or so. If you don't turn the flowerpot for a long time, it will cause the orchid to grow unevenly and the sunny side will grow better.

2. Soil exchange and plant separation

You can choose to change the soil for the orchid in early autumn, during which half of the old soil should be removed and then replaced with a new culture soil, and if the root system grows too luxuriantly, it can also be divided appropriately. The small seedlings can be dug down from the big orchids with a knife, with 3-4 roots, which is helpful to improve the survival rate of planting.

3. Avoid bright light.

Magnolia should not be directed by strong light, so when the summer temperature is too high and the sun is too strong, you should move the orchid to the indoor shade for breeding, and you must not let the plants accept the direct sunlight at noon, otherwise it will cause the leaves to turn yellow. generally, you only need to receive astigmatism in the morning and evening.

Matters needing attention in changing pots

1. Time to change the basin

If the growth of Magnolia is not very good, and does not blossom for a long time, then it is likely that the soil nutrients are insufficient, so the pot needs to be changed. Generally, the pot can be changed from March to April, when the temperature is higher than 15 ℃.

2. Trim the root

When changing the basin, the roots should be trimmed, so that the plants can adapt to the new environment more quickly, during which the aging and cross-winding roots can be cut off, and the weak ones can not be left. Generally, only the roots of 1Comp3 need to be cut off, and if there are rotten roots, they can be soaked in potassium permanganate for 20 minutes after pruning.

3. Prepare soil

Can be mixed with rotten leaf soil, garden soil, river sand and other mixed culture, which can appropriately add some sawdust, rotten bark and so on, so as to improve the air permeability and drainage of the soil.

4. Whether to change the basin or not

The pot can be changed according to the size of the plant. If the pot is not big enough, you need to change to a larger one. If you still use the old pot, you need to disinfect it with carbendazim or expose yourself to the sun before putting it on.

5. Pot maintenance

After the plant is finished, the pot soil should be watered, then cultured in a cool and ventilated place, and the surrounding environment should be kept warm and moist until the plant can fully adapt to the new environment.
