Potted plant: select strong pineapple, cut off the top bud with a knife, then tear off the lower layer of bracts, put it in a cool and ventilated place for about 3 days, the root tip can be seen in a week or so, and then transplant it to the flowerpot and transplant it indoors in winter. Open field planting: choose sandy loam or mountain red soil with loose and good drainage, which is suitable for growing in the place where the annual average temperature is 24-27 ℃. When the soil is short of water, it needs timely irrigation. Rain Water weather needs timely drainage to prevent rotting roots.

I. Pineapple pot culture method

1. Choose pineapple

First of all, we should choose robust pineapples, because pineapples have been stored for a period of time, and some leaves have withered, so when potted pineapples, we must buy pineapples with fresh leaves, such as leaves with white powder, emerald green leaves, and so on. In order to improve the success rate of breeding, you can buy a few more to plant together.

2. Raising seedlings

Cut off the selected pineapple, cut off the terminal bud with a knife, then tear off the lower layer of bracts, place it in a cool and ventilated place for about 3 days, wait for the incision to dry, and then hang water for a few days, mainly waiting for the terminal bud to collect water, which is not so easy to rot. Take a transparent bottle to fill half of the water, and then put the terminal bud into the bottle to induce the root, generally wait for about 7 days to see the root tip, and then transplant it to the flowerpot.

3. Post-management

Potted pineapple does not have high requirements for soil, general soil can be cultured, because pineapple is easy to grow plants, so transplant to a flowerpot with a diameter of 30cm can be cultured, during the growth period to ensure sufficient sunshine, if well managed for half a year can grow buds, flowering to long fruit about 200days, in winter outdoor temperature is about 5 ℃, should be moved to indoor maintenance, during watering should not be too frequent, the general soil should be watered only when dry Wait until the spring of the second year and then move to the outside for breeding.

2. Pineapple planting method in open field

1. Soil

Pineapple has a wide adaptability to soil, because the root system of pineapple is relatively shallow, so it can be planted in sandy loam or mountain red soil with loose, good drainage, rich mechanism and PH value of 5-5.5, which is heavy, barren, thin and poorly drained. And places with high groundwater level are not conducive to the growth of pineapple.

2. Temperature

Pineapple is native to tropical high temperature and arid regions of South America and loves warmth. It grows better in places with an annual average temperature of 24-27 ℃, and can grow at about 15-40 ℃. It grows slowly below 15 ℃, stops growing below 10 ℃, and is vulnerable to freezing injury below 5 ℃.

3. Moisture

Pineapple is more resistant to drought, so when the soil is short of water, the pineapple plant will have the function of self-regulation, which can reduce transpiration, slow down respiration, save water stored in the leaves, in order to maintain life activities, when the plant is seriously short of water, the leaves will be red and yellow, and timely irrigation is needed to avoid leaf dryness. In case of rainy weather, the soil moisture will be larger, which will easily lead to root rot. The plant has the phenomenon of heart rot or withering.

4. Lighting

Pineapple originally grows in the semi-shady tropical rain forest, so it is more shady, but long-term artificial cultivation and domestication increases its demand for light, so it grows well under sufficient light, and the fruit has high sugar content and good quality. if the light is not enough, the growth will be slow, and the fruit has high acid content and poor quality. when the light is reduced by 20%, the yield will decrease by 10%, but if the light is too strong and high temperature. The leaves will turn red and yellow, and the fruit will be easily burned.
