Planting time: about April-May in spring every year. Planting method: select robust, disease-free sweet potato seeds, soak them with chemicals and fish them out, then plant them in the soil, sprinkle a layer of decaying wood with withered grass, and then cover the soil with compaction. When the seedlings grow to 30-40cm, they can be cut into small sections for cutting. During the growth period, urea, compound fertilizer, potash fertilizer and other fertilizers can be applied, and trichlorfon solution can be sprayed to control common diseases and insect pests.

First, planting time

Sweet potato can only be harvested in autumn and winter, so the growth period is longer, first of all, after raising seedlings, and then cutting, and finally officially begin to grow. generally, the sowing time of sweet potato is about April-May every spring, and the better sowing time is in the middle of May, because the temperature of this period is basically stable about 15-20 ℃, at this time sowing can germinate quickly.

2. Selection of species

Sowing sweet potato is relatively simple, but selecting good seeds is the key to high yield, so in seed selection, it is necessary to observe whether sweet potato is robust and disease-free, and then select varieties with larger volume and more bud points to sow.

Third, sowing seeds

1. First of all, the sweet potato seeds should be soaked in polygonum solution for about 10 minutes, and then be fished out for sowing. When sowing, it is necessary to distinguish between Chu head and tail, otherwise it will lead to uneven growth of seedlings. If it is not clear, it can be placed diagonally, and then sprinkle a layer of withered grass and rotten wood on the seed potato, and then cover a small amount of soil.

2. If you are afraid that the temperature does not meet the requirements, you can cover a layer of plastic film for heat preservation, wait until the sweet potato seedlings grow to 30-40cm, then lift the plastic film, cut off the stems and leaves of the seedlings, and then take 3 leaves as a section and cut them into small sections for cutting. when cutting, the interval between each plant is generally about 30cm.

IV. Fertilization

After planting, the first fertilization is needed to promote the cutting sweet potato seedlings to grow new roots, which can generally apply human feces and urine water. The second fertilization is to apply an appropriate amount of urea to promote the growth of sweet potato seedlings after survival. The third time is the application of seedling fertilizer, urea and compound fertilizer, and finally strong fruit fertilizer, usually potassium fertilizer and boron fertilizer.

5. Shunmiao

In order to facilitate the later harvest, as well as the excess branches and leaves to consume nutrients, it is necessary to smooth the sweet potato seedlings in the field, during which the sweet potato vines can be sorted out and grow in one direction, and it will be much more convenient at the time of harvest. At the same time, the excess branches and leaves can also be removed.

VI. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests

The main results are as follows: 1. The common pests of sweet potato are leaf rollers, aphids, grubs and voles. Leaf rollers and aphids will harm sweet potato leaves and affect sweet potato photosynthesis, while grubs and voles prefer to eat sweet potatoes in the field. they will bite the sweet potato in the field.

2. For pests that harm branches and leaves, you can choose to spray trichlorfon solution, while voles can put their favorite food in the field, and then mix it with rodenticide to trap and kill.

VII. Harvest

The harvest time of sweet potato is from September to October, during which the stems and leaves of sweet potato can be cut off, and then the sweet potato can be dug out of the field and stored in the cellar to ensure that the water is not easily lost.
