Chinese chives can be planted in earthen pots, ceramic pots, plastic pots, sand, garden soil, farmland soil and fertilizer mixed into pot soil. Chinese chives can be placed in a place with sufficient light on the balcony, weeds in the border can be removed, and water can be poured once every 3-4 days. During the growth period, quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer can be applied once or twice. When harvesting Chinese chives, the roots should be avoided, and only 1 cm below the soil can be cut. During this period, special aphids for flowers, pesticides, mancozeb, Chlorothalonil and other chemicals control diseases and insect pests.

1. Selection of basin and soil

1, you can choose earthen pots, ceramic pots, plastic pots to plant leeks, suitable for light texture, good water permeability flower pots, if planted indoors, you need to pad a bottom dish, to avoid watering, water leakage dirty floor.

2, leek soil quality requirements are not very high, but in fertile humus soil will grow better, so potted pot soil to have sufficient fertility, to maintain the healthy growth of leek, generally available sand, garden soil, farmland soil and fertilizer mixed into pot soil, above can be paved with a layer of broken tiles or coarse sand, conducive to maintaining the porosity of the pot soil.

II. Sowing seedlings

1. Leek is a kind of light-loving vegetable, so it is necessary to put leek in a place with sufficient light, so balcony is the first choice. Leek should promote its growth in seedling stage, and water should be properly controlled in later stage.

2, watering should be frequent shallow irrigation, can be irrigated every 3-4 days once permeable, watering at the same time to clean up weeds in time, in the growth process should be appropriate topdressing, during which 1-2 times of quick-acting nitrogen fertilizer can be applied.

3. When sowing leek on the balcony, the new species suitable for use in the current year can generally be selected from mid-April to early May for sowing and seedling raising. During this period, it should be noted that the planting density of leek in the pot should not be too large, and watering should be carried out in time after planting, which is conducive to improving the survival rate of seedlings.

III. Daily management

1. After the new leaves of leek grow out, pay attention to keep the soil in a moist state, and irrigate the seedlings according to the dry and wet conditions of the pot soil during this period.

2. The weather becomes cooler after autumn, which is more suitable for the healthy growth of leeks, so sufficient fertilizer and water should be supplied during this time.

IV. Harvesting leeks

1. When harvesting leeks, avoid damaging the roots. You only need to cut them to 1cm below the soil. The harvesting period should be controlled well, not less than 28 days, otherwise the leek seedlings will be cut more and more fine.

2. After harvesting leek seedlings, cover the flowerpot tightly with plastic film. Only when the leek wound heals well can the plastic bag be removed and then watered.

V. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests

1. The common pests of leek mainly include aphids, mites, whitefly and various green insects. During this period, cigarette butts extract can be used to kill insects, or brush the pests on the stems and leaves of the plants. If the effect is not good, special acaricides, aphidicides, insecticides and other pesticides can be used for prevention and control.

2. The common diseases of leek mainly include virus disease, anthracnose and soft rot. During this period, warm water at 55℃ can be used to soak seeds. The soil can be disinfected with mancozeb, chlorothalonil and other chemicals, which has significant effect on preventing such diseases.
